With Southampton? How long did that take? I've just started a new save with Southampton. I'm struggling a little but really should be further up! Lost to teams like West Ham 2-0 at home, QPR 2-0 at home, Wigan 2-1 at home, Swansea 1-0 away, Sunderland 4-0 away... But beat Villa 6-3 away, Newcastle 5-4 at home, Reading 6-1 away and Arsenal 6-1 at home! Also should have beaten City (lost 1-0) and Chelsea(drew 1-1)... Weird save so far! Nearly in January and I'm 15th with 20 points from 19 games but gunna sign a keeper in the transfer window and Quintero for up front... Maybe Henriksen in the middle as well if I get the cash from Cortese!
My Crewe side actually survived its first year in the Prem, which was a bit of a shock...didn't cheat, just managed to ride the odd highs and lows of the morale system to 12th, despite shipping 77 goals. They really need to fix the AI as it pertains to Bosman candidates, though; signed a French striker in January of my first season in the Championship who was 16 at the time and now, at age 18, has 16 pace, 15 dribbling, 16 off the ball, and 20 finishing. Oh, and he's 6'2" with 17 heading. I really don't think that players like that bolt for overseas teams sitting mid-table in the second division.
That's the 18/19 season, in 17/18 I won Prem, Capital 1 Cup and Champions League, plus I got an FA Cup in 14/15, and Community Shield + C1C in 15/16. A lot of my team are regens but from the starting team I have still got Shaw, Clyne, Cork, Schneiderlin, Ward-Prowse and Ramirez. I signed Ochoa in goal, then got Handanovic for free, now have ter Stegen (of course). Rodriguez gets good up front though, I played him with Christian Benitez, then sold him to Spurs.
Here he is now, summer of 2016: please log in to view this image Forgot to mention that I could turn him into a credible central defender if I wanted to. Technique/creativity/flair are a bit low, but I'll train up the technique and he should be a 30+ goal/year player in no time.
Awesomest newgens Pedro Escobar - (not the drug lord one), 61 games, 48 goals Dusan Kulcar - 6'7", (soon to be) best target man in history Santiago - even taller Salvatore Elio Pusceddu - pace noob Tim Dorrian - gets booked every game
Its funny how one good regen is enough to make you break that right? What I found interesting this year is that with a good enough scouting network you seem to get offered a fair amount of the best newgens, especially the ones that have slipped through the net at the top clubs, my three best players in my 5th season are all regens that spent one season at top clubs, got released and then got offered to me by an agent and wanted £2k a week as a backup, within 6 months, with some first team football and they were basically the best players in the division (Scotland I know but...). I remember when I used to at least break out the player search function to get players!
lol @ Dusan Kulcar - 20 finishing, 18 heading, 20 jumping, 18 strength and 18 work rate... 6"7 to boot!
I've got a few regens here, not as good as your guys but they are doing alright - please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I have a few pretty good regens. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image The two above are my best English ones, got a few academy lads that are around the first team too, who are progressing nicely.
Right I'm in a huff... Was playing my save when my computer restarted (was beating Bournemouth 3-1 in the FA Cup), I go back to it and I can't load the bugger! Had to restart the game with Southampton! 2012... Wellington Nem purchased for £3.5mil and Okore purchased for £1.3mil... Here we go again!
Well I beat QPR 2-0 in my first game before going to bed... In my last save I lost 2-0 at home. Got Liverpool away and Arsenal at home next...
Took me until now to notice that the ridiculous youngster posted previously (who, at age 20, has begun his season with eight goals in three games) lists among his favoured personnel one Jacques Crevoisier, his father. I knew that FM includes kin of real people as regens, but it's a little odd to have the superstar son of Arsene Wenger's pet psychologist, he of the infamous test demonstrating Nicklas Bendtner's unprecedented self-regard.
