Those bright green rugby markings will look lovely for our big match, especially for the sky viewers as they look worse on TV

Why don't we save a bit of time and just nail a crossbar a bit lower down on the rugby posts, saves taking em down

Unless there's a sport where the players float in the air a foot above the pitch, then obviously anyone using the pitch is going to damage it.

The question is not does playing any sport on the pitch damage it, it obviously does, the question is simply how much damage it does.

    Fact.

Do you have clear and indisputable evidence that rugby doesn't damage the pitch?

And I do have evidence that rugby quite literally destroys pitches.

Just look at the state of it.

Has anyone checked to see if Barnsley played a match at Oakwell on last Friday to ruin the pitch for us?

Ok I accept that. What I don't accept is the suggestion the pitch will be ruined, and mayhap affect our chance to play the beautiful flowing football we play, and the pitch is going to scupper our chances. The pitch will not be destroyed. Nor will it impact negatively our chances.

Im with someone above who's suggested MORE damage might actually help us in fact...

Yeah but we have to win on that pitch. That involves scoring.

We aren't the kind of side who can't just force the ball into the net through brute force. Our only tactic is to pass and cross our way to the goal. The pitch is a major factor in whether we can do that or not and it's the single biggest reason that our form has gone to **** since the rugby season started yet again.

Cardiff don't need to play football, we do. We will have more of the ball as the home side needing to win and it's whether we can do anything with it or not. The pitch will definitely affect us more and SB will definitely want it in a good condition more than they do. That's why they asked to move the RL game.

I guarantee the pitch will be fine.

If anybody blames it it will be an excuse, and a lame one at that.

I'll be embarrassed if i hear it was the pitches fault for City losing on saturday, espcially if they put in a similar performance to that of Barnsley away.

So nothing to do with Koren and Aluko plus others being injured? Nowt to do with not having a prolific scorer playing for us all over the country? Our form is down to the KC pitch since the rugby started?

    Really?

    Of course I havn't. It's not Saturday.

What i'm saying is their game on Friday will have little to no impact on the surface.

If it's already ****ed up then thats the problem of the KCs groundsmen and they'll be doing a shoddy job.

Look at The Madejski Stadium, recently for Reading's game vs QPR the pitch was immaculate and it always has been.

The evidence is how a pitch is ruined from before the start of the season until the end. Are you honestly suggesting to me that come the last game of the season all rugby league pitches are in EXACTLY the same condition they were for the first game? Go on, say it cos I'd ****ing love to read it.

The fact it is rugby has nothing to do with it. Hockey players running around on a pitch damage it. Why do you think inbetween games professional sports pitches have 'keep off the grass signs'?

Blaming the Rugby for our recent awful form? Oh dear... <doh>

What about playing at other grounds away and losing? Or the fact that Koren's got an injury at a bad time and we're missing our main driving force in attack (Aluko)?

If we lose, it's because we bottled it under the pressure. I'm already planning for the Play-Offs.

That's not what I ****ing said is it? Youve COMPLETELY tried to change the point I made into something else. I never once mentioned anything about rugby 'scuppering our chances'.
