Just seen the Damiao rumours have re-surfaced, I'm sick of the guy already. It's been what, 2/ 2 and a half years now? Just sign, or publicly tell us to **** off please Leandro
talking of temporary hibernation... where's Boss? He clearly isn't visiting at the moment, or he'd have shot me down at least 6 times on this thread by now!
To be fair we are Spurs fans... No one tends to like us so it wouldn't surprise if our own bunch turn against each other now
As I said in the original post, this is not just more tabloid speculation. These are the words of the Internacional president - who states pretty clearly that when Leandro leaves Brazil it will almost certainly be to Spurs. The one ambiguous part is WHEN he leaves Brazil.
Everywhere is reporting it now, even sky sports. Despite how sky **** us over on deadline day with their bullshit to attract viewing figures, I do tend to believe them most of the time. if it's happening, lets hope it's wrapped up soon. none of this deadline day bullshit, 3 games into the season.
He was top scorer at the Olympics and looks like a natural goalscorer. If we can get him in, get rid of Ade and have a younger striker as third choice I'd be delighted but it's a long shot those 2 things happening, I think.
yeah, but how good is the Olympics really? Its basically an U23 game. Britain played with some unknown Bolton striker or similar. I assume he is mates with Sandro? How long will he take to "settle in"?
He could come here and be good, he could be bad. There's always that risk with any player. But he's highly rated for a start, and has played for Brazil on numerous occasions. He's also attracted a lot of interest from other top european clubs. It's a pretty decent CV for a 23 year old, with a goal in every 2.5 games, so this is what we need to be going for. He can't be any ****ing worse than Adebayor, so I don't know why anyone's worried!
Gilberto must be the exception then, he was terrible! Lets hope Damiao's success at the club would be more similar to Sandro's if he joins.
