Jaap Stam in his book refered to Gary and Phil as the ''Neville Sisters'' due to the amount of whining the pair did.
Every United fan I know hates Gary Neville, and the United players certainly didn't take kindly to him in the cup tie last year. Probably because he played for Man U.
Hahaha! Hearing him trying to be unbiased is going to be funny. I'm surprised he actualy has the brain cells to talk to be honest. A lot like Rio.
Not particularly. Although I do respect the history and traditions of the club. I am awaiting the day they become a title contender so the rivalry will re-ignite. It's been a bit dull over the last few years.
So what you're saying - and do correct me if I'm wrong - is that it is possible to dislike a football club for non-jealousy reasons?
Jealousy is what caused Fergie to attempt to lower the qualification for "Europe's Elite" by trying to suggest four European titles is the bar, when everybody knows it's five. Right now he's not only jealous of AC Milan, Real and Liverpool, he's also jealous of the second tier non-Elite four times winners, Ajax and Bayern. Everybody knows he's also extremely jealous of Saint Bob.
So why did you come onto this thread saying "jealousy is an ugly trait" when it could merely be a dislike of Man U for historical/rivalry reasons that inspired the OP to ention his hate for Neville?
If it was merely a 'dislike' of Gary Neville then the comments on this board would would not be as hateful towards him.
i think every liverpool fan respects nevilles success and admit hes probably been the best rb in history of premier league. i think most fans would also be a little jealous of his success but over riding the respect and jealousy? pure hatred towards such a horrible excuse for human being. he even gives rats a bad name. the fact that so many utd fans hate him says it all
