If any fellow 'orns ever fancy a game, leave a message on this thread, I'll try to check it as often as poss, but the best idea would be to put a message like: "I'll be online from 8.30pm onwards, anyone fancy a game then?" Norway and I have started a game by e-mail but hopefully we will now switch that to the chess site. It seems you can make a move and play over several days - which suits me as I come and go to the PC at random intervals My username there is LeonardoHornet

No probs Norway, I really don't mind what time-limit we play, I just got really used to speed chess when I played online in my teenage years. The site is pretty good, has loads of interesting features if you sign up for the premium version (£60+ a year is a bit much though?!?!), like online lessons and computer analysis of your game. Fancy a game later tonight? I'll be around from 7pm onwards GMT...
Surprisingly I found it hard to get a username accepted - Leonardo plus all sorts of numbers were "taken" I might be interested n speed chess after a few games where I can remember how to play again - it must be well over 30 years since I last played a game. Norway - do you want to start our e-mail game again on line as we are only a few moves gone?

I will look into this.... I love chess.. but have spent the past couple of years on internet checkers....
I reckon it'll take a while to get started but once we have it could be quite fun. I'd be up for having a regular chess night, we could keep track of scores or have a little tournament?
have joined up as hockdude and added you all as friends. Used to be good in the olden days, the only thing I ever on at school was the chess tournament!! Haven't played for many years so won't be up to much nowadays i'd imagine.
