Very nice match thread, I also don't honestly care about the result and I want the season finished so that we can see if GFH (our new owners) have any kind of ambition.

I never want my team to lose, next season I would prefer to be playing Hull as it is more of a local match.

I know this next comment risks stirring everyone up but Hull deserve to go up IMHO - I totally disagree with Watfords ability to loan 12 players, agreed they have not broken the rules but the FA have ensured this will not be repeated next season so it will be interesting to see how good Watford are next season if they fail to beat us.

Haha, but will they really ban hundreds of fans if they get on the pitch. Look at what the other teams have done this season, just block off the away fans to there cant be trouble and let the home fans have their moment of celebration. Thats my opinion anyway.

Well if there arent rules against it whats to disagree with? We are just lucky to have owners who have read the rule book back to front and know it inside out. Well the club has said all season that we would sign the best players from the group, so if we do and possibly even strengthen, I dont see why 6-1 wouldnt be reasonable against you.

Don't take it personal, I just do not feel Watford deserve to go up, I totally agree, they haven't broken any laws, just made the most of a situation loophole, I don't blame them for doing so.

Serious question - If Watford do not go up this season and with the loophole being closed for next, what do Watford fans feel their chances will be next season with limited loans available?

You know that quote is going to come back and haunt you on Saturday don't you ;)

Have a read of the Hull board, Most of them need an appointment with the Samaritans. I cant see us rolling over and letting them win, quite the opposite. Really looking forward to see how Saturday pans out and which one of you join us in the EWPL.

Not going to go into the rights of wrongs on the loan situation - think it has been done to death to be honest. The alternatives if we hadn't got the Pozzo family doesn't bear thinking about, but personally think we would have been at the other end of the table after a possible points deduction for going into Admin!

What I would say is though, here have been rumours that there won't be a rule change on this. Other owners have seen the potential of this rule so are looking to exploit it themselves!

As for how it will affect us if it does change and we stay down - I would say very little. I think there are a few we won't have back, either we don't rate them, or they decide not to come (Cassetti retiring, Vydra looking for a big move). As for the others... I think we wold sign half a dozen permanently. They would be on frees, so would just have to worry about wages, which I think we would get around. Beyond that, the scouting network would have identified suitable signings for the club, and will top of the squad with promising youngsters!

As for the game... I can see it being quite a tense game. If we can get the first goal, can see us going on to win 2 or 3 nil. If not, then wouldn't be surprised if Leeds grab a late winner. It is out of our hands though, so lets hope Cardiff anf their ex-Watford contingent do us a favour!

    (Great article Dan <ok> )

    Excellent thread <ok>

As you have a much better team than we do, and I don't really care about the loanees issue (as its within the rules, change the rules is the answer, not criticise a club that sees an opportunity) the only snipe I can think of is:

bloody 'ell, only 16000 expected? If we had your team and it was the other way round, it would be 36000 ;)

as ristac (I think) said, what interests Leeds fans now is what the new owners are going to fund / not fund in the summer, and what BM will do with the opportunities/lack of opportuunities this give him.

As for Watford or Hull going up, may the best team over the 46 games go up, other than that I don't care

I am sure you will still give us a tough game because your fans will demand a performance and ofcourse the players have a new manager to impress.

Admit playing against 9 men helped last time.

As for the loans situation - sure the club have got deals lined up as Kev says for some of the players

We probably haven't needed 3/4 of the loan players that came..one went home early for example.

Also we will look else where to make signings like we did with Fitz Hall who has played most games when fit and Almunia.

We haven't quite totally relied on all the loan players to make up a team but I accept as an outsider you aren't exactly going to be checking our squad each game!

Unfortunately that is pretty much our capacity while we only have 3 sides to the grounds. If we get promoted, this will be addressed. If we don't, then I'm sure it will be looked at anyway...

Nice to see someone expressing reasonable criticism of a club without resorting to abuse about it. I have to admit that if the shoe was on the other foot i'd probably think the same. I would just say that i don't think it's any more unfair than clubs who are running massive debts but still shell out on transfer fess and big salaries (it's all right - I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular).

If we stay down then i doubt we will mount as serious a challenge but then you just never know what's round the corner.

I am not quite sure what the Leeds fans are expecting to happen at the end of the season. More money to be loaned to the club? My guess would be that there will not be too much as the current manager knows how to get by with little to spend.

I don't expect the game to be a walkover for us by any means. Although we have shown lately that we don't bottle it in the big games, our form against others has not been good. What Hull will do is anyones guess. Their wretched display against Barnsley seemed to leave Bruce very deflated, and I think he will have to pick himself up before he can do it with the team.

What a stupid comment, it's a bit like saying you disagree with another persons ability to use there left arm just because you happened to forget to use yours. Every one of us have the same abilities at our disposal.

It's possible to disagree with the way a club goes about things whether it's within the rules or not. For example plenty of people have expressed anger at the way Chelsea and Man City have gained success through big money inputs from their owners (a few of your fans among those complaining, no doubt), but it was perfectly within the rules. And the last time we exploited a loophole we were docked 15 points for it! :D

As for the game, I expect it to be tight. We've at least matched every team we've played so far under McDermott and the difference in the performances he's managed to get out of the same group of players as Warnock is unbelievable. Frankly I don't care what the score is as long as we give a good account of ourselves, but I think our players might be thinking differently.

A stoppage time winner from Leeds to deny the Hornets promotion. ;)

Get off our board now - how dare you put my worst nightmare in print <laugh>.
I've said all along that no matter what happens on saturday i hope it's reasonably straight forward so that it doesn't damage us too much for the play off push. A last minute winner by you lot does not fit that hope at all!

Simon, if you were deducted points it couldn't have been a loophole, you must have broken the rules! A loophole means no rules broken so no case to answer!

Didn't they go into administration just before getting relegated so as to take the hit immediately rather than the following season and then got clobbered again? From what i recall it was all a bit murky and the FA did them for the sake of it - or something like that anyway!
