I'd like us to speak to Chelsea over a cheeky bid for Marin. I always felt he was a "spurs" type of player and he really impressed me at Werder Bremen. Hes struggled to make an impact with the quantity of midfielders and the injury set back he had. Maybe he's regretting his decision and we can take advantage?
I liked the look of Marin too, but he's a right-footed left winger and we've already got a bunch of similar options for that role. Can't see it happening.
From the Internacional president, interesting!... http://www.insidefutbol.com/2013/04...nacional-president/84892/#zB1AGK2ZBDBxSpyK.99
O god. Here we go again. Damiao's name mentioned for the 3rd (?) transfer window now? This is turning into the transfer window equivalent of the "Halloween" films. - will it ever end?!
Whatever,I say GO GO GO. I don't know about Ben Arfur(as in Daly) though. What position does he play?
Today's gossip column.as already mentioned in above posting's We are favorites to sign Dimiao, and we have opened talks with Ben Arfa.Meanwhile Real continue their tapping up of Bale, and trying to get him on the cheap,Zidane, director of football there say's Spurs could demand 60 million for him, good try,try adding another 40 million, maybe then they will have a chance, hope not though
The thing with Marin is he looks a shadow of the Bremen player since he's been at Chelsea, I'm not sure I'd take the risk on him now. No doubt talented but I think I'd rather go for Ince if rumours are true, looks a great prospect. Saw the Ben Arfa stuff yesterday as well, when fit he's very good... But that's the problem, he's rarely fit!!!
yep, but still has it in his locker! I'd rather have him than 2 or 3 of the players we have, as he's more experienced at a higher level and still young. But it's never going to happen. I will not be impressed if we sign Hamstring Ben Arfa. That's typical of us, as he'll probably be cheaper than others we're looking at. - But ultimately, we'll pay the price, as he'll be out injured constantly!
Which 2 or 3 Roo? Because in fairness he's been poorer than any of our wide outlets/ attacking mids. People (myself included) have criticised the likes of Dempsey and Sig's form but I'd rather have them than him based on this season's performances to be fair, and that's saying something.
True. But at least this is not just press speculation. This comes from the horse's mouth, so to speak.
He's hardly played though SOS. I'm not judging him on his time with Chelsea, as it's silly to judge anyone on a stint with them!! He's had the same problem Sig had where he needs a run of games. It's all opinion, but I just think he's a better player on his day that a couple of similar players we have.
Marin's constantly injured too, he had long injuries before joining Chelsea(which is why he was cheap) and had more since joining them. I'm not so sure about Ben Arfa either but if we played him through the middle we'd have a more like-for-like backup for Bale.
Goal.com is reporting it now, so it must be real. if the rumours are true, at least the good news is that we're trying to sort out business early on. However, I'll believe it when I see it. No doubt Levy will spend all summer trying to get Damiao in exchange for a box of tic-tacs and a packet of pickled onion flavoured monster munch.
Hasn't that been predominantly because of injury though? (Another reason that puts me off), when he has played he's looked woeful, even Moses has looked better than him and I think Moses is pretty ****e too. If we're to approach Chelsea for a player I'd love Lukaku! But we'd have no chance
