    Time to unleash Keegan...
The substitute is about to come on – he’s a player who was left out of the starting line-up today.
Despite his white boots, he has real pace.
The 33 or 34-year-olds will be 36 or 37 by the time the next World Cup comes around, if they’re not careful.
Nicolas Anelka left Arsenal for £23million and they built a training ground on him.
They compare Steve McManaman to Steve Heighway and he’s nothing like him, but I can see why – it’s because he’s a bit different.
Goalkeepers aren’t born today until they’re in their late twenties or thirties.
You can’t play with a one armed goalkeeper… not at this level.
Argentina won’t be at Euro 2000 because they’re from South America.
I’m not trying to make excuses but I think the lights may have been a problem.
You can’t do better than go away from home and get a draw.
Chile have three options – they could win or they could lose.
In some ways, cramp is worse than having a broken leg.

He's only twenty now, but in five years he's got a pretty good chance of being twenty-five.

"Liverpool and Everton are like big liners, like the Queen Mary. I see Tranmere more like a deadly submarine" - John King

"I think it is important to win a match, but I think what is even more important is the manner in which you win." - Jock Stein, blatantly stealing from Bill Nick...

"Ach, Rangers are alright, but they still haven't invented blue grass." - Jock Stein, not nicking quotes from Bill Nick

Cloughie is the daddy of quotable quotations.

The river Trent is lovely. I know 'cos I walked on it for 18 years.

Walk on water? I know there's people out there saying instead of walking on it, I should have taken more of it with my drinks. They're absolutely right.

Ah, yes, Frank Sinatra. He met me once you know.

Beckham? His wife can't sing and his barber can't cut hair.

If I disagree with a player, we talk about it for 20 minutes and then agree that I was right.

For all his horses, knighthoods and championships, he hasn't got two of what I've got. And I don't mean balls (on SAF's then failure to win two European Cups/CL.)

I only ever hit Roy (Keane) once. He got up so I can't have hit him very hard.
