And the Lord came down and stole my underwear ... I agree that the championship side had a team spirit and of course cared they did after all win promotion. The club and then most posters on here wanted a new team as they weren't good enough ... I stated at the time the spirit must be kept however since then we have purchased great players ... who is responsible for growing and maintaining team spirit?. There has been a lot of players who have disrupted the dressing room and who started that trend ... Barton. Sorry Flyer but SWP cares about this club and puts in a shift. The players on the whole came to become successful and help with the project ... some have also become disillusioned and here we are. To make a blanket statement that they are all useless and don't care is complete rubbish ... The entire club has to take it on the chin. QPR tried to purchase a foundation and it hasn't worked but remember how many of us wanted new players and remember how many we have rubbished since ... sure you get credit for saying that you would like young hungry players at the time but we will never know ... We are all bound to feel ripped off but I sincerely feel that most players have signed for QPR because of the dreams sold. It was not just about the money we wanted good players ... we have them now and Harold has to deliver now he has to take a big slice of blame and yet is off scott free it seems. Does anyone of here seriously think that if there was problems then they were left without any action at all? ... if this was so then who is in charge? Even the best posters on here must be able to think that it would take just one meeting? ... A few ****s thrown around the place i.e.: ... Bosingwa please just look like you care or SWP take your time lad ... Mackie a little bit of composure please ... Adel give the ball earlier .... Samba FFS are you fit? ... The list could be endless but I ask again who is in bloody charge? Now we need a rebuild? FFS
Excellent post. Agee 100%, especially the bit about my young-God nicking me underwear, sox, tees and about anything else that fits that week! Time now for Harry to deliver and stop shifting blame.
I'd add Mbia to the 100%-ers. Otherwise, I agree, the rest had an attitude of indifference all season.
Thats not what anyone is saying. They are not ALL useless, and they dont ALL not care. But there are many who do not - and Tony has said as much so it is quite clearly true and not being made up. There was action - replacing Hughes with Redknapp. Im sure there was action and we know there has been. When MH was in charge one of the coaches went on record saying they was going to be a players meeting. If you have bad eggs in the dressing room one meeting isnt going to sort it out - especially the problems that we have had. You cant just say to Bosingwa (for example) start caring. It simply doesnt work like that.
He's ace at writhing around clutchin his balls though! His assist for Remy's goal of the season had good vision, good running and a great final ball. He tackles well too, and a bit more! One of our best players this season for me.
Does Tony saying this make it true? He maybe a great bloke, a great business man, great benefactor, but is he a great psychologist? Or God maybe? He don't know, he's not training the players every day, far from it, it's just his opinion like everybody else, or maybe another shifting of blame away from him and his current Manager..
I'd never fault his effort as he is definitely in the 110% club (very small membership) but his diving and flopping about like a fish is painful to watch. If his passing was more consistent he'd be a hell of a player. Think he'll do well in the NPC though.
Why would he make something like that up if its not true? Would do more harm than good. Tony has seen it first hand when he has been in the dressing room - and i am sure he has people from the board regularly watching training etc.. Are you saying that all of the players do care? They quite clearly don't.
TF may say what he thinks many supporters want to hear him say, without really believing it's the main problem, to divert focus away from poor direction and management. Unless you know the player very well as Harry and his assistants should by now, I don't think anyone knows for sure how much a Player "cares". Harry should have told TF what he thinks if there is a problem with that, but I don't believe TF can know so much just from sitting in on the dressing room for a while as I read. I expect all the Players want to do their best for their own pride, their family, and their employers the Club. If they don't care enough for the Club, Harry ought to know that by now and he won't be giving them much play time, at least where he has alternatives. So I doubt that any of the players who been starting most of the games recently at least, don't "care" enough. Any that don't care enough are probably already on their way out.
Nice sentiments Oslo, but we have all seen lazy, overpaid time wasters in our workplaces. Why should footballers be any different? May only be one or two, but enough to poison the atmosphere in a setting where confidence is all.
