How does Larson get in the team?

    He cannot Tackle!
    He cannot go past players!
    His short passing is woefull!
He covers a lot of ground during the game (but this is just running about like a headless chicken!)
    His Corners are Shocking!
He is the TEAM'S free kick expert ! (He couldn't hit a Cow on the Arse with a Banjo if he was sat on it's back facing the TAIL!!!!!
he is constantly standing in front of the Ref with his arms stretched out Moaning instead of just Playing!

He did score in MoN's first game but has none Very little or nothing to note since.

Yet everyone seems to put him in the team, is it because I am blinking during the game and missing some MESSIan brilliance or is it the fact the squad is so thin and poor we have to make the best of a bad job?

If you watch him closely during the game he hides a lot and also seems to (no disrespect meant here) run round the field like an 11 year old chasing the ball instead of picking up a man, moving into space or making space for a team mate.(please don't say he is covering his team mates because he is so late getting to where he is needed to help the ball has gone and he starts running around again!)

He Plays well for Sweden (only just) but for us he is like a man off!

    So, AM I MISSING SOMETHING?

Played very werll against Everton and wasn't that bad the previous game.

I don't think the Stoke game is for him assuming a packed midfield and all.

Playing him on the left was instrumental in defeat. He was that deep that it invited Lowton forward and they hurt us down that channel all game.

His best two games though were Newcastle and Everton so i would have played him with Ndayie.

I agree with alot of his shortcomings pointed out in the op.

COLBACK should have replaced Larson at halftime as the writing was on the wall.

He has been ****e all season. He wasnt good against Newcastle at all, I dont know why people keep saying this. Yes he played better than normal, but doing slightly better than **** is still turd. He contributes nothing to the team other than hound the referee to moan about decisions, most of the time well after the incident has occurred.

Two decent games vs Everton and Newcastle. Left wing is not the place for him, though. Shows just how much we need a proper left winger

Poor. For me too. His best games were in cm and his dead balls have been **** this season. I argued with my dad when he was taken off that I. Thought it was the right decision. Thought him and Johnson were poor but whenever Johnson or Sess tried to run with the ball it stopped. Pitch was woeful and very heavy and the ball wouldn't run.

I would sell him, his time has come and he is worth a little bit of brass still. He is a right winger but so is Johnson and Sess and they are both better.

You are spot on about the left hand side last night as soon as we saw the formation i said to my mate about this fear that he would play him in that posisition, i know a lot of supporters dont like jm, but he does offer a high work rate in cover play in front of rose. larsson exsposed rose to often against a fast moving villa side .
xmas time i posted on here that av were going to do this at some point, i also stated that the harsh learning curve of the prem would leave av with a good young side for the following season providing they escaped the drop.
The sess thing is a far bigger blow than a ten goal beating last night, all our hopes will rely on a panel of self important guys to say now if we stay up or go down.
A winning team was changed and we suffered for it. imo with the game gone with half an hour to go ,i think changes should have been made to save legs for the next game.
This result highlights how vital our points against n/castle and everton were. FANTASTIC SUPPORT BY US ON THE NIGHT.
Some were getting carried away with things by the fact we won two on the spin, pdc looked in shock on the line ,, and i fully expect us to have a job still to be done attitude in place for our next match.
If results were predictable it would be boring thats the beauty of fooball.

    good post this ^.

Sess is not out yet though we can only wait & see.

Tempted to suggest Rose (if we can get him) at left mf instead of Larsson. Would cause havoc imo. Don`t know who for lb though, maybe a summer signing.

Colback at rb? did an excellent job against Everton. Might have found his niche.

    Reckon Mangane deserves a start.

He drives me up the ****ing wall! I've never known a man "hide" so much on a football pitch!

If he could reverse his ability to take up positions where no on can pass to him he'd be unplayable! Always in space for a pass!

agree with you about rose , my head says keep him at full back so it limits the other sides capabilities but my pur love of his football skills says push him up , idealy with a player of the same qualities in front of him would be an attacking dream with total flowing moves happening ,with cover play as well.
i would love to see us have a player in the middle of our defence with the ability to move forward out of defence with the ball instead of the long just get rid ball which usualy finishes with the opposisition getting control straight away again,
mangane looks to me he could fill that role

that`s exactly what I mean. Would cause absolute havoc. And proved he can score. His goal against Villa was superbly worked and finished.

If we had a replacement left back I would give him Larssons place.

Bit premature like we haven`t got him yet but if the rumour of £8m is true I wouldn`t hesitate to pay it.

My fear against stoke is getting caught by our lack of height on both back posts, our ability to give away silly free kicks in areas that stoke thrive on is a concern , i do think as usual they will play percentages on making this happening, football wise i think we are better on the floor , but this is stoke . i shudder to think about crouch at the far post against our small fullbacks, no fouls stay on your feet , dont give Them a SET play , thake This out of their game and we should be ok
