http://mp3juices.com/search/surfers odd noise... Good Charlotte is a bit better http://mp3juices.com/search/charlotte
Daddies of the Capitol? Isn't that the Washington DC derby between the Democrats and the Republicans?
I was thinking about how it's all too unpredictable. Anything can happen. Assuming the goal difference doesn't change and assuming the results of the last ten matches could go any way, the chances of 3rd, 4th and 5th for our teams is as follows:

3rd, 4th, 5th Chance

Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham 48%

Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal 20%

Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal 12%

Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham 11%

Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea 5%

Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea 4%

Yeah, I was bored and fancied a gamble. There are 59,049 (3^10) combinations for the remaining ten games, I listed them all. No gambling now though. The odds aren't good.
Yeah, what about that? How is it that playing twice a week seems to leave us at death's door, while Chelsea seem like they could play every day for a month and not look tired in the least? The rational answering is conditioning and squad rotation, but we all know it's really part of Abramovich's deal with the devil. Who looks a lot like Benitez, as my wife has pointed out.
I take it you've never listened to their magnum opus, "Hairway to Steven?" I'll take them over the Beach Boys in a tight one (ouch), the Foo Fighters in a walk, Duran Duran because Spandau Ballet annoys me, Megadeath just because how could I pick Katy Perry, 50 Cent over Rod Stewart (But Rod Stewart and the Faces over 50 Cent), Adam Ant over Iron Maiden (I know, I know, but Adam Ant was cool as hell for a split second), and, hmm, Nat King Cole over Good Charlotte. Which leaves us with The Butthole Surfers v Nat King Cole Megadeth v 50 Cent Adam Ant v Duran Duran And the Foo Fighters get a bye as the top seed.
Thanks, Inda--just the sort of thing I enjoy. Here are one Spurs fan's feel for the probabilities:

3rd, 4th, 5th Chance

Losing fourth on or very near the last kick of the last game 80%

Catastrophic collapse beginning next game 20%

Tottenham getting a CL spot They say it's theoretically possible.

It's all bollocks. We all think the game against Chelsea will be the decider and there's a 33% of us winning that (all things being random and down to chance, which there're not). If I have time, I'll fudge the numbers later showing us beating Chelsea.
I don't like this. why? because it's not speculation; it's actual Maths and the figures don't look good. Why Inda, why did you have to do this??!!
And the chance of Chelski being given a goal that didn't cross the line? Quite high I suspect given it's happened a couple of times recently! Hence my continued (sorry) whinge about refs rather than teams deciding the table. When there's only going to be a couple of points in it, then any undeserved penalty, red card etc really does make the difference!
Ahhh, but its meant to even itself out over a season vim, this is why we have been gifted all those penalties, oh hang on....
I was hoping the bookies had their figures wrong and I was going to have a punt! I know, I know. I wasn't happy with the percentages either. Keep telling yourself it's not random and not down to chance. Spurs have everything to play for. They can win every game if they try hard enough.
I think we'll end up 5th too and I think it's about right with everything considered. It'll be close, as it has been each season for a few years now. But not having sufficient fire power or squad balance was obviously going to take its toll. Therefore we've been punching above our weight and 5th is a good achievement considering this, however disappointing that is for us fans. The fact that 3 clubs (Liverpool, Swansea and Villa) have a 20 goal a season striker says it all really (Benteke & Michu both likely to have 20 prem goals by the end of the season). We're pushing for top 4 and don't. It's no surprise really, so to do as well as we have, has been brilliant IMO.
It could be a tough week for Chelsea. They've got a game on Thursday and then they face a Man Utd side who will be celebrating the title, so you'd hope that they'd put in a performance. If Ferguson can pick up another 3 points and both us and Arsenal get a win, then everyone's back in the mix again.
