Id say hooper is more of the Rooney mould (though not as good of course). He likes the ball at his feet, likes to drop deep to collect the ball, can finish and he doesnt mind getting stuck in. If we can get him at a decent price id say go for it. His movement is great nd if we played him with RVW he would be sure to create plenty of space for the latter to use. Whoever said Holt is better than Hooper needs fixing lol, Holt has been dreadful this year. I dont just mean lack of goals but his entire game. His hold up play has been shocking at best, he has lost any sharpness that he previously had because hes piled on the pounds, he lunges into tackles like he doesnt give a ****, he rarely looks at the ball when making a challenge and he rarely wins the ball when jumping for it. All in all, anyone who says that Holt has done his job well this season is talking absolute bollocks as I for one dont see huffing and puffing 3 yards behind the pace, losing th ball when it comes to you, gaining weight and fouling people part of a strikers job description! Add to this the way he f**king dives whenever an opposition player is near him makes ne bloody furious when people say hes done well! Dont get me wrong the guy is a legend in Norwich but when you take off the yellow tinted specs, he has been woeful this season. Sorry, but home truths hurt and no-one is more disappointed than me but its simple fact.

Its not irrelevant at all. Giving opinions about future transfers is one of the most exciting parts of being a fan. I think most people, on here believe we can/will stay up but just have a bit of a squeaky bum following tge villa result. Tbh I dont think wigan will pull it off again this year.
this is all a relevant discussion. if we go down in 2 and half weeks time, then we'll change the discussion to who do we want to buy for the championship. i've said this a few times, but i think either holt will go in the summer, or he will be more on the bench next season. i don't think he will be good enough next season for us, and with another year under his belt, he needs replacing at some point. i'd like to see him stay as he adds a lot to the dressing room. hooper is a better than holt on paper because he is much younger and has scored in the champions league my ideal forwards for next season would be - RvW, Hooper, Welbeck on loan, holt
I am confident we will survive as for us to go down Wigan will require two wins plus whatever points we can scrape together in our last three matches in theoir last four. We have two home games to come and whilst we are not playing brilliantly we have not lost a home league game in 2013 and we are playing a team below us in the league and a team who have very little to play for. I would be hugely surprised if we do not pick up something from our home games which would mean even if we only got one draw Wigan could only afford to lose one of their last four. The balance of probabilities suggest that they will go dsown and everyone else will stay up. Put another way would you rather be in our position or Wigan's? Newcastle are currently in freefall and Sunderland have just had a walloping and will probably not have their best player available to them for the rest of the season due to suspension. I would not be at all surprised if we finished above one or both of them as well.
I appreciate that odds are not definitive, but they help explain how confident people who are betting are that we will survive, and we are getting progressively longer - I think only you and and a few other Norwich fans really see us as realistic candidates for the drop, everyone else looks at it as unlikely. We have dropped points at home only to City, Chelsea and Liverpool (Suarez). It is therefore extremely unlikely we will drop points to either Villa or West Brom. We have a good chance of beating both of them too. Even if we lose all three games, which is unlikely, given that there are four teams below us, several results have to go against us. It also helps that all those teams below us have harder matches than us, if you were to take a step back. It is therefore unlikely that all four of those teams will exceed 38 points. Doubly unlikely means really quite unlikely! I'm not going to say we are definitely safe, but I think it would mean an astronomic stroke of misfortune (and appalling performances, which I admit are possible) for us to go down.
it's ambitious, but not ridiculously. he was on loan at sunderland last season, and is not getting many starts for united.
rob, on your teams below us, don't forget that sunderland, villa and toon are only 1 point behind us. not much leeway is it. sunderland have a much better GD as well.
