brought us back to earth with a thump this week we have heard from the manager and a few of the players talking about three points and we would be safe and then we could look towards next season and talk with the owner about summer signings. after hearing that I was a bit cagey about yesterdays game, were the club looking to far ahead and not totally focused on the job and it would come back to haunt us? I thought we would come away with a point but we got thumped. a defeat sometimes always aint the worst thing to happen and hopefully that will happen with us and re-focus everyone at the club as the job is far from over, forget about the end of the season and how many points we need lets just take it a game at a time and that is Stoke next monday night. I think we will get something from the game, Stoke do not have the pace or power in the final third to cause our snail pace defence the same problems Villa did last night and fingers crossed we have Sess at our disposal. Last night was a lesson learnt for Di Canio and the players and I am sure it won't happen again. Team for Stoke... --------------- Mignolet --------------- Colback -- O'Shea ---- Cuellar ---- Rose ------ Larsson --------- N'Diaye ------- Johnson ----- Sessegnon ----- McClean -------------- Wickham --------------- if Sess is not available I would play Graham alongside Wickham who fingers crossed will be back for next monday
I think I seen a few "11th place if we win" threads kicking about in the last week, never a good idea predicting Sunderland to move up the league. The team almost picks itself with injuries/suspension/**** players but Larsson should never be seen on the left wing again, Sess is a massive blow if that 3 game ban is upheld (which it will) but hopefully we can limp over the line with our current plodders.
Walters may disagree with the power aspect. Hopefully KJ is as laid back as he was with us and plays one of the many games he doesnt try in. DG has been sh*te but may just have enough guile to score against their slow defence. Stick McLean behind Graham as he will battle in the middle and win a good few headers.
How about a 'change' for Stoke... at least it would give us a bit if hight at the back. --------------- Mignolet --------------- Gardner -- O'Shea ---- Mangane ---- Colback ------ Larsson --------- N'Diaye ------- Johnson ----- Sessegnon ----- Rose -------------- Graham ---------------
that statement about the left wing slot , should be made law and cast in stone , i dont think pdc will do that move again , hence the substitution
