I just thought he was less **** than the rest of the players It happened a few times, in the first half especially, just hopeful punts which swirled out. Meyler was worse though, all he did was hit it as hard as he could and expect the strikers to get there.
I need to see it again but didnt their first come from Evans giving the ball away in our half and McShane not reacting to the danger? If it turns out Faye and Stockdale are at fault for the goals my vote will change.
Only 3 contenders again. 1) Chester 2) Faye 3) McShane nb. Stockdale and Evans were ok. The rest simply stank.!!!!
How can anyone vote Macca, he was dire and the first goal was due to his awful positioning. Faye Proschwitz Evans
Really hard to pick three this week. 1. Evans 2. Chester 3. Rosenior for coming on and actually trying to pass the ball. Faye was just lumping the ball, though he gets his head in the way.
I love Meyler, but he wasn't himself, barely made a run forward, didn't win many headers. We where poor, onwards and upwards.
Final result: Faye Evans Stockdale Current table: Quinn 36 Chester, Faye 28 Brady 24 Aluko, McShane 23 Elmohammady 20 Simpson, Boyd 14 Evans 13 Hobbs 11 Gedo 10 Meyler 8 Proschwitz 7 Dudgeon, Stockdale 6 Bruce 5.5 Koren, Jakupovic 5 Amos 4 McLean, McKenna 3 Stewart 2 Olofinjana, Fathi 1 Cairney 0.5 Rosenior, Dawson, Fryatt, Oxley 0
Im stunned. Faye had probably his worst game for us, Evans was woeful and did Stockdale even make a save?!?
And Bruce openly criticised him for his contribution to their 2nd. I thought Prosser probably contributed more than most, although he shouldve scored like.
Why? As for Proschwitz he just embarrasses me now. The way he excitedly looks around to see where it's gone after he's headed it. I said this on another thread but it's like some kid has won a competition to be a professional footballer.
Stocko helped prevent a few more possible goals with quick reactions rushing off his line. Saved mcshane a 2nd red face in the first half aswell when he did the same 'hesitate and do **** all' and let dagnall waltz in behind him, stockdale only just got to it in time and that was a proper 1 on 1 in front of the goal rather than mellis' chance from a tight angle. Would definitely have been 2-0 in the first half if not for stockers
Absurd that Faye won it this week, he's becoming everybody's default option. Evans was just... there. Which granted is more than most.
I didn't vote because I didn't think anyone deserved it. I also thought McShane could've done better on the first, I didn't really get a good view of the second and I haven't watched it again. I'm not against pointing out people's mistakes, I'm just against making them up.
