I used to like Noggin the Nog...... (for the young romantics this is NOTHING to do with snoggin')
How about an Anglo-Saxon whodunit then, CD? 'The Glint of Silver' is on Amazon (paperback or kindle) and 'The Wide Embrace' will be there in 7/10 days' time...both written by a long-time resident of the Hornets Nest of course!
The second Winfrith novel, 'The Wide Embrace' should be on Amazon, paperback and Kindle, within the next week or two, AK. Hope you'll enjoy it. I too hope the phone rings!
A gloriously sunny morning/afternoon here. Writing tasks all done, lunch on the way and then an afternoon pottering in the garden. Could someone please inform the dandelions they are not welcome?
Blimey, that's been a busy lunchtime on here.... Yorkie - Noggin was my absolute fav as a little boy. I have got some episodes on DVD - which I purchased from the Dragons' Friendly Society... Theo - I am going to download your books in a few weeks when I treat myself to a new iPad Mini for my birthday! Lot's of people getting in contact asking if I can help getting a ticket for Saturday - but there is nothing about!
It is rumoured that those who have had a sneak preview think it is a very good read and is well worth a wide embrace of a glint of your silver !!
When I saw the title of this, I thought it was going to be a reference to the date on Saturday and the date we clinched our first promotion to the top flight both being May 4th. http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/130429-maythe4thbewithus-799509.aspx
afternoon all, thanks for the caramel latte Ak, hope that call comes soon and gives you the news you want. w_y, here's a link for those looking for tickets. i hope BB manages to get one! http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/130504-leeds-tickets-update-796516.aspx i'm going to look for your books too Theo, for when i go on holiday....whenever that might be!
Great timing Theo, I'm off on holiday in 3 weeks so I'll be able to download it to the Kindle to take with me. I see Leo & Dave find it all very Punny H: The books would be great to read in Northern Italy Thanks for the coffee Ak, hope you've had your call by now. Suppose you've been listening to 'Of Monsters & Men' whilst reading.
Thanks for all the encouraging comments about 'The Wide Embrace'. I'll put a link in (or a separate thread maybe) when it's available. The dandelions are now dug out...all 3,741 of them. I now have an aching back and an urge to consume a glass of something cold. Cheers, all.
Are Hull actually ready for the Prem? I read that they are making plans for the play-offs and asking fans to complete a form and send it with a cheque to reserve a seat for their home game. Surely in this day and age there are better ways than pieces of paper. I notice that we are not yet talking about play-offs.
