Telford was around for ages mate, both under this moniker and as Wonko the Sane. He took a break and has just come back, so he has history. Not a happy man though.
I've read 'em Col. The club stuff I'm just seeing as tractor production statistics tbf. DM's was the one that gave me a little glimmer of hope. He's majorly cynical, and has blogged and wrote on us through some very dark times. If he's upbeat then maybe there is hope? I can't look beyond the debt at the moment and wonder how, without the cash the PL brings, it's going to impact all these plans. Then there's Financial Fair Play.I'd love to know the implications for us. IIRC we get penalised for going over a certain percentage of wages in relation to turnover? We get fined pound for pound whenever we go over this limit, whether we go up next time out or not. Do we now fall back to our tried and tested method of throwing a load of cash we don't have at an endlessly revolving door of incompetent/lazy/corrupt/overpaid/overrated/past it/ perennially injured/fat (*delete as appropriate) players/loanees/managers and hope that it it gets us back to the PL? We do this and don't go up, then we're stuck in the NPC with even more debt. We do this and go up, then we start the next PL season with a massive fine before we've even kicked a ball. We don't do this? Who knows? The roulette wheel is spinning.... Cheers for the reports btw Col.
