Benteke has a hatrick as well.

Sunderland, Newcastle & Villa all on 37, Wigan 5 points behind but with a game in hand. Think Wigan are down now, rather points on the board than games in hand at this point in the season.

Remember when everyone was wondering why Adam Johnson wasn't in the England squad, why City barely played him, why Mancini sold him, etc?

Ya we were all wrong. <laugh>

Isn't that the same as calculating that Abramovich is the worst owner in the world then?

To be fair he always did well when coming on for City but probably due to the fact they were already ahead and the game was more open and easier for him.

He's very one dimensional for Sunderland, always cutting in on his left from the right hand side. At least with Downing he isn't afraid to go onto his right foot occasionally which gives the defenders something to think about.

re Roman, have fun calculating the spin on the barrel of a sixshooter cos that's RA's game, he gets Terry and Cole in and makes em go at it Deer Hunter style as well probably.

No, they are wide open at the back at times. Bayern will score.

Barcelona have lost their way a bit this year, they are just not the same team as they were under Pep. Much more fragile this year, barely scraped past PSG and lost 2 0 to AC away.

But what team can do as they do forever eh, they've been very successful, you can tell by how many dislike them now but to be fair most of those are Arsenal Manu and Chelsea fans, fans of teams barca have beaten.

  15. It was a lacklustre half fit Messi at best. They were also away from home with a pitch design to suit to Bayern players. IMO, tonights 3-0 loss was worse than the 4-0 loss last week!

Ignoring that, did Barca look like the same side in the second leg against Milan prior to Messi coming on?

Barca have some superb players but they do miss Messi, what team wouldn't?

  16. Although I know what you mean, I agree with what Lucaaas said (which you have just replied to) on the Champions League thread.

Chelsea concede right on half time,2-2 agg. v FC Basle.

Chelsea still go through if it stays as it is,but it could be a nervy second half.

    P.S. Nando's looking sharp.

Don't like Wigan, but I'd love to see Newcastle go down. Morons think they're suddenly CL qualification contenders after one fluke season <doh>
