Only in the Mirror, but you never know: Now highly-rated Lambert has been told most of the clubâs TV cash from promotion is his to invest in players and salaries. The Scot wants British players with Premier League experience to boost his existing squad, most of whom have not played in the top-flight. Bullard, 32, is available for transfer from Hull, who loaned the midfielder to Norwichâs local rivals Ipswich last January. Town had been hoping to keep Bullard after he scored five goals in 16 appearances, but a Premier League club would appeal to him. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...r-targets-for-Paul-Lambert-article740810.html
You can just read the headlines now, "Ipswich Player of the Year joins Norwich"!!! QUICK!! Beat it over to that Ipswich forum!!!!!
With the PL cash & Jimmy's current form, he'd be a decent addition to their squad and as we know he does add that "je ne sais quoi" factor to a club.. can't see them giving him a 5 year contract though..
No, but they might buy out his contract with us, particularly if no fee is involved. Or they could offer him a reduced wage to maintain their pay structure, give us a fee of say £2m and we pay him off with it.
I didn't know "je ne sais quoi" was French for 'bleeding dry'. Or is it 'getting pissed and showing no loyalty or professionalism'?
He's done a job for Ipswich, one he clearly couldn't be arsed to do for us, maybe noone there stood up to him in the way Barmby did. Either way, anyone who thinks hes not 100% all about the money is mistaken, and I feel sorry for the tractor boys who believe otherwise.
On the plus side it looks like I've got my fans on there!!!! brogansnose added 10:25 - May 26 Brilliant. Now Amber & Black can go and annoy the scum on WOTB. Honestly, after all the efforts I've gone to warning them about "Hero-Worshipping" Bullard, that's the thanks I get!! There's no pleasing some people!
I did notice someone thanked us both for our contributions on one of the previous threads, so it's not all bad.
Ipswich are being blinded by the light, in truth Norwich have the upper hand as they can afford him, Jimmy would love a chance at the PL again surely it would be his last chance and I can't see him giving two hoots for the Tractor Boys, hand him a glistening new contract, tickets for two to Vegas in the summer, a pad above Norwich's trendiest nightclub and he'll be kissing the Canaries badge as soon as the first free-kick goes in..
