Does Di Canio's appointment still look good?

Back-to-back home games against Stoke and Sunderland. So we can't answer that question yet. Sunderland only need win one of them.

But they are now without Sessegnon, as well as Fletcher. Graham needs to start scoring, and quickly.

Graham has got to be one of the flops of the season - Mr. Prolific he isn't!

Actually, I'll take that back - he'll probably get a hat trick against us.

Yes let's not tempt fate. They do look light up front though. Wigan have it all to do particularly as they face Arsenal just three days after the cup final!

Can't expect miracles, but, when you are just outside the drop zone, di Canio can provide that lift to get you over the line. They were in freefall and he has got them the points that will probably keep them up. This was the effect that QPR hoped for from Redknapp...but who would lift your spirits more...old lugubrious chops or an Italian madman. In an emergency, I know who I'd choose.

Just as well we beat Villa home and away and didn't meet them in red hot form.

It has to be a dire emergency when you have that choice to make!

May as well continue to use this thread as we have the Chelsea Basle match tonight together with the first set of play off matches. The Chelsea game should be a cracker!

I suppose if you were going to draw a team in the Europa then Basle would be the least scary, but they have done surprisingly well. However, at times, Chelsea made them look very ordinary, so I think Chelsea will go through (perhaps helped by their away goals). Still find the attitude of their fans to Rafa very strange...ok, they weren't challenging for the title, but it's not been a bad season and, perhaps, they would have done better supporting their manager. On the other hand, if the owner wanted Mourinho back, why go for a change of manager this season anyway. Wierd.

Yes have to agree. If you had offered Chelsea fans this end of the season before Benitez started they'd have snatched your hand off.

If Reading win it keeps Fulham within touching distance and moves QPR to the bottom of the table adding salt to poor Arrys wounds.
