In a interesting interview Jol has revealed his current thinking for the summer transfer deals - Source: http://www.london24.com/sport/fulham/fulham_boss_reveals_summer_transfer_plans_1_2170750 Sounds as though there won't be a sack full of money available then.
I think he's referring to deadline-day deals, but no, it doesn't look like we've got much of a war chest. Thankfully we've got a lot of promising young players, they'll hopefully get their chance.
Am I the only who when reading quotes from MJ I say it in my head in his Dutch accent? he's saying its not his fault that our 2 star players left late with no time to replace equivalent calibre players, i agree. I think he's done well with what we've got and if he doesn't have much of a kitty then he'll have to start playing some of the youngsters. Bring it on. Forever hopeful, but that's what supporting FFC is all about. Ha ha.
We always get the last minute signings and loans in late August and then have to wait 6-8 weeks for them to gain match fitness and settle in. This season we have to change our game plan, and give them a ultimatum to sign before the season starts to get them integrated into the team and match fit. The likes of Douglas of Twente, Boateng of Dnipro, Chadli of Twente, Stekelenberg and more have all let us down at the last minute.
Hahaha, I must admit I have even tried imitating his accent on occasion. I loved the way he used to pronounce Mousa Dembele's name like Mooscha Dembeele.
Best Dutch accent by a non-dutchman I have ever heard is Mike Myers in one of those god awful Austin Powers films. Goldmember, I think.

Never fails to amuse! It's not even English in a Dutch accent, he's actually trying to speak English poorly as if Dutch is his native tongue. You just can't make this stuff up.
It will be interesting to see who Jol brings in, as this will dictate whether he is going to stick with the slow build-up in our play, dutch style of keeping the ball, or will he look at getting it quicker to the front. I've been a bit uncomfortable with this, as a lot of teams have decided to combat this by putting pressure on to our back row, with our only outlet being Schwarzer. To give Jol credit a lot of managers have praised Fulham for playing football and being a difficult team to play against. Out of the top clubs Arsenal are really the only club who use a slow build up and even they this season are trying to move the ball quicker. Most of the top teams no longer employ a keep ball attitude, slow play down, they tend to mix it up and have an end product with a more direct attack. What does Jol have to do to get more of an end product from the possession we seem to have ?
Some years ago M A F said we could be the Man u of the South, the way we have been performing over the last few seasons, its more like Wigan of the south. "Jol get the team and yourself bloody organised."
Several papers are saying that AVB of Spurs is looking for a couple of attacking midfielders in the close season, to me it appears that "Demps does not fit into his plans". I for one would not be adversed to see him return. But apart from that,Jol must stop going on bargain hunt Another snippet that keeps arising is Remy quoted 6/7 mil got to be worth a punt. 33 to 1 ?,got to be worth a fiver,if it came to the worst, half the price of next seasons ticket.
Remy would be a good signing and it's worth us making enquiries about, but with Liverpool and Arsenal rumoured to be interested, I can't see us matching the wages that those two might offer. Also, if either of those come in for Remy, I can't see him choosing us over either of them. Perhaps a more realistic option would be to look to bring someone up from the championship. Charlie Austin and Jordan Rhodes spring to mind, two players we've been linked with before. If Petric is going we will be short up front, and unless Jol is ready to promote someone from the development squad we could do with a couple of new strikers for the first team squad. One to be Berbatov's regular partner, and one to challenge for a place. More pressing is to get the centre of midfield right though. Ruiz can hit Murphy-like incisive through balls, but doesn't have Danny's bite or his consistency within a match. Huddlestone might fit the bill, but if not him we need someone similar. Harry Arter from Bournemouth (who we were linked with in January) is exactly that type of player, if - and it's a big if - he's good enough to step up to the Premier League. He might be worth a punt on if Jol and his scouts can't find a better option.
There are three big factors which will effect Fulham next season, and according to the gossip columns may have some snippet of truth in them. Our premiership status. Jol staying. (if the above should happen i dont think the club will stick with him) Berbs,& Ruiz leaving. These 2, Berbs linked with a Russian club, Ruiz greatly admired by AVB. Whatever our outcome there has got to be a mass clear out, Sidwell & Senderos, leading the exodus, their selecteion constantly puts us in a position of finishing matches with 10 players.
