    That fifth goal is bad news for Newcastle fans because it means Villa have drawn level on goal difference with the Magpies. They've made up 10 goals in one weekend, which is staggering. The Magpies remain above Villa on goals scored only, who bring on Darren Bent to replace Christian Benteke.

    This could do Villa's confidence the power of good and they could go on a good run. That said, if they beat Norwich, then NCFC will be in trouble, with their final game being away to Man City. All to play for folks.

    David Vaughan is currently looking for a hole in the Villa Park pitch to swallow him up as he plays a terrible backpass which splits his own defence and Gabriel Agbonlahor latches on to it, rounds the keeper and makes it six for Aston Villa. What a night for the Villans.

    I actually think this is a good result for us. Last time we went down we were waiting for other teams to help us out, now we need to buck our ideas up and get ourselves out of it. We have more than enough talent to beat West Ham and/or QPR, and if we accept Pardew is here until the end of the season then we need to hope him and Carver can give our unmotivated ****es the kick up the backside they need to get themselves out of this mess. We have to be proactive now, I can't imagine that even Pardew would be bone headed enough to think we will get out of this thanks to other people's results.
