I think Reading was a certainty, but sad for Nigel because of his history with us. Hope they do well and all that... but as far as QPR are concerned - how does everyone fell : 1) Glad QPR are relegated full stop 2) Sorry for any team to go down - but if it happens to someone, glad its Redknapp 3) Hope that finally everyone realizes what a toss pot of manager 'arry is 4) Hope QPR will sink without a trace and finally prove what Harry's legacy is 5) gonna miss the interviews on sky with him hanging out the door 6) Sure he'll be back in the PL next season after walking away from QPR when they are in need to run some other club into ruin Guess what get's my vote! So long 'arry. Sure we'll see you again soon.
I do feel sorry for their fans and their owners. Their players had the wrong motive and were only in it for the money. I think what you're trying to say is HARRY IS GOING DOWN!!!!
I'm glad they're down so that users on here can finally stop going on about Redknapp. Seriously, the obsession with the guy bewilders me.
Agreed. As for QPR, it's kind of gratifying to see a club who so baldly tried to buy a shortcut to success fail. I hope Cortese has taken note, perhaps we don't need to aim for Europe next year and overstretch ourselves?
I am not particularly glad QPR are going down.........but I'm delighted that twitcher Redknapp has failed he is not my favourite person. I look forward to his demise from football in the not too distant future.
One of the best games of football I ever saw was Saints v QPR at the Dell when Dave Sexton was their manager. What a brilliant side they had then and a "proper" football manager.
The vitriol in this thread seems to be about Harry which is fair and if you go to their site their favourite game for this season was beating us - yes their fans are hurting understandably so they hate us with a passion so be it - we don't help ourselves when we go to Sunderlands website when they have been pumped 6-1 and post a reply to "PDC' we trust and post well you are fxxxxd then - lets just be grateful we are probably safe and not enjoy others who are in deeper mire than we are.
Pleased that Redknapp has failed. It's not even so much the man, but the way the media fawn over him just because he will always give them a soundbite. Hope this finally puts the nail in the coffin of him being hailed as a saviour...no, he isn't...he spends a fortune and sometimes strikes lucky. Don't really hate any team...just want three teams relegated who don't include SFC.
I have total respect for QPR and their fans. Anyone who comes from or has connections with West London is to be applauded for choosing shabby little Loftus Road over opulent Chelsea Village as a place to go and watch football. And I don't get the Harry hate either. So the guy's a total rogue - but at least he's entertaining, and he has had plenty of success, not all of which has been bought. Is the antipathy towards him due to the fact he was in charge when we got relegated from the PL? well look where we are now. Or due to the fact he was in charge down the road when they had their moment in the sun? Well look where they are now. Life's too short to hate (although Ian Duncan-Smith challenges that assertion).
Not sure there has been any "vitriole" really. I really don't understand those that go on another team's board to gloat. I only give out to opposition when they appear on ours.
I'm sure you understood what I meant, but just in case, I meant baldly in the sense of shamelessly, openly. They brazenly threw money around and expected that to be enough. On the other hand, we have spent a fair amount of money, but we've done it in a sustainable way.
I remember seeing QPR reserves at the Dell as a "nipper" and Stan Bowles was resting on the wall before taking a corner laughing because their first team were losing having been dropped for some playboy activity no doubt.
They should act as a warning to all promoted teams, throwing money at a group of individuels (and having a clueless manager, thats Hughes by the way) will not bring you security. Much better Readings and our way of buying 1 or 2 players that will improve your team ( although Pod turned out to be a total donkey) look to survive the first year and then push on by building a happy and tight squad. Reading lacked some quality but most of the squad will stay loyal and they should be looking for promotion next season
Why are people glad qpr went down, its a great little away day and they're a sound bunch of supporters. Much rather northern monkeys like Wigan and Sunderland bite the dust.
Rangers is a great away day so im sad they're down. Would rather see northern monkeys like Wigan and Sunderland bite the dust.
