Yeah, oil money is their only chance...cannot imagine a well-run club in Portugal or Brazil wanting to pour 65k p/w down the drain.
You're obsessed with us aren't you? You post much, much more about us than your own club. Why is that?
On their day Wigan have shown they can beat anyone. I just think this time they just have too much to do now. Any positive result for Villa tonight and I think it's curtains!
I really hope Wigan enjoy their day at Wembley. In fact I'd love them to win the FA Cup with a goal late in the 2nd half, followed by a nail biting backs to the wall defensive effort as City throw everything at them, to no avail. It would be a perfect end to their last season in the PL, and it's about time we had a fairy-tale result in a Cup Final - they used to be so common.
Tonights result - meh. Not so significant. If Villa win we'll be five points off but with a game in hand. We only want to be within three of them with a better GD on the last day and we'll be happy. No the important results are at the weekend. I've said for weeks that West Brom away is our crucial game. Because we have such a poor away following, when we take a load we tend to win. Blackburn last season, Blackpool season before, Villa season before. We're taking a load to WBA, and if Newcastle lose, we'll be two points behind them if they lose at WHU, with a game in hand. They'll collapse. 5pm on Saturday we'll all have a better idea. If we beat West Brom and we have a chance to get out of the bottom three with a win against Swansea, before the Cup Final, then we can pile the pressure on teams around us.
Nothing personal...but most teams in the bottom half want this settled. Wigan are just the likeliest to get it sorted with a game to go. If you read all of our stuff, you'd know we were also interested in Sunderland and Stoke, but they have let us down by winning.
Fans of Norwich in particular, of which Cruyff's Turn is one. They have the most brutal of the final-day assignments...away at Man City, not the sort of fixture you want to go into with the drop zone three points or less behind.
I was getting accused of that by QPR.Well the simple answer is this:It's a relegation thread and Wigan are 4/6 on favourites so it makes far more sense to focus on them.TBH there are teams that I would far rather see go down but you just happen to be in the box seat.Nothing personal,in fact the reverse.A fair point about Man City but it's Villa v Wigan so if we can go in one point ahead of one and two ahead of the other,or with a better GD than both and a point ahead then we are safe.
Did anyone hear the comments from Hill on MOTD2 yesterday? Basically said we've got rid of good quality pros and replaced them with expensive journeymen so what do you expect. Damning. Also, asked whether QPR can come back next campaign Harry's response was along the lines of "If we can get a few more in you never know what might happen ..." Will he ever learn?

Will he ever learn? ___________________________________________ No, he won't. He has been found out this season, & if TF lets him start adding to that squad in the NPC then I fully expect that club to be in total melt-down by December.
Really? Sorry about that, I thought he was one of yourn, otherwise I would've dug him up on their board. Yeah, as I say I wasn't referring to all of you, just Cruyff's Turn, who is on every board talking about what's going to happen to Wigan (but getting his facts wrong). Yup, ideal time to be without three of our first choice defenders.. The thing about Wigan at this time of the year is we become a bit of an infinite improbability drive. We're as likely now to curl up and die, losing an embarrassing cup final and being relegated with two games to go as we are to go on a rampage, and end up safe with a game to spare by beating Arsenal away.
With a wife from Wigan and a father in law who is a ST holder at the DW, I hope you stay up at the expense of Villa or anyone but us. This is only so we can play you twice nest season and give you the spanking you should have had at your place this season. Bragging rights in our household are the wrong side of the room
This was my favourite bit of coverage of Redknapp's appointment as QPR Manager: please log in to view this image
I love a Hitch-Hikers Guide reference! For what it's worth Wigan are the team I would least like to see go down out of the remaining contenders, that 3rd spot needs filling though!
QPR have confirmed that Harry Redknapp is staying on as manager of the club. Why is there a need to announce that...? Manager in staying in job that he is contracted to do 'shocker'. Harry just courting the press...
