The U18s won 6-3 at Sunderland today, which means that a win in the final game tomorrow would see them top the group. They need to match the Mackems result, basically. Zapata-Caicedo (x2), Michael-Percil, Lameiras, Ball and McQueen were our scorers.

Thanks for that, PNP. If they win the last game, then Liverpool will have to win all their remaining games and make up 10+ goals on GD. And to (literally) top that, the Barclays U21 results tonight mean Spurs win the elite group with one game to spare.
The U18s lost 1-0 yesterday to WBA. So to usurp Spurs from topping group 1 : - Sunderland must beat Liverpool - Liverpool must win both their remaining games with a GD of +11 from them.
Don't know if anyone else watched the Peterborough game yesterday but Pritchard played and was excellent, his technique and vision were a class above, and on his first senior start as well.
0-0 at half time at Southampton today in our final league game. We will be at home in the semi final against either Everton or Newcastle
Spurs to play the winner of Everton v Newcastle United in the Semi-Final... Under-21 Barclays Premier League Season 2012-13
Everton v Newcastle is scheduled for May 6 and we play the winner on May 11 and the final is on May 18.
With Swindon going for a play-off slot, Luongo won't return. Pritchard could be recalled I guess if the Posh survive or are relegated before then. Townsend has nothing to play for at QPR now either.
"Do you know if the games are still home or away, or are they neutral?" Reckon the winner of the Elite group is going to be given some advantage over the winner of the lower group playoff. Looks like a day out for the 1882 crowd to me.
I am assuming as winners of the Elite group, we will be at home in the semi. No idea what the plans are for the final.
Posh finish this weekend so Pritchard will be back. Townsend is injured, but Obika and Mason will be around. I am a bit surprised Mason wasn't given a run out today.
Okay thanks. If we get to the final we should field Bale as one of our over age players to give ourselves the best chance
Just seen the league 1 play off dates and Swindon could be finished on May 6, so maybe we will have Luongo available.
Isn't Townsend being touted for a possible return against the Goons this week? I'd have thought he'd be fit for the 11th, but still play out the remaining games for QPR. Even with their fate sealed, he'll probably learn more from a few Premier League games than one U21 tie, even one that's pretty big.
"Isn't Townsend being touted for a possible return against the Goons this week? I'd have thought he'd be fit for the 11th, but still play out the remaining games for QPR." Agent Townsend for a while then. TBH with Obika/Smith/Luongo/Pritchard back in the fold, that should be more than enough to see the U21s thru to the end. Townsend would just make it even stronger.
Well one player who won't be featuring is Dean Parrett who has been released from his contract. He is currently on trial at Crystal Palace and played for their under 21 side yesterday.
