Ditto with the FA Cup. The trouble with the PFA award though is that it takes time to get everyone to vote on it and if they did it after the season people are going off on holiday or sorting out there future as a footballer and all sorts of other things that can leave them with filling in a form very low on their list of priorities, plus no one will really care by the time it's announced. The football writers one is easier to do at the end because they're a bit more proffessional about these things and they don't have a huge holiday at the end of the season so deciding who to pick as player of the season can fill the huge void they have in their time when they're not making up transfer rumours.
