According to my Twitter timeline, today's training hasn't gone down in a similar manner to that of a session organized by a professional Football management team. Things are looking frightening right now for our trip to East London. The blame is at the feet of Mike Ashley, if he had relieved Alan Pardew of his duties before today's training session then the morale of the dressing room may not have plummeted to yet a new low under our sore excuse of a manager. I'm in real doubt regarding the future of this club with a maniac at the wheel.

My Twitter timeline said Pards was sacked last night... so it's not that accurate at times.
I hope this Sissoko rumour is just that and nothing more.

From Lee Ryder on Twitter..... looks like nothing.

The only thing that happened at the training ground is the training session finished, and a player left the training ground after it #nufc

Where does these Twitter rumours stem from? Surely no smoke without fire? According to some of my timeline buddies Alan only gave the team a "light training session" and I reckon that is what has caused a stir. Lee Ryder and the rest of the local press are just trying to brush it under the carpet in my opinion. something's not right.

Just sack him now for lords sake.

I trust beardsley and his friendly warm, character would do better than Pardews seemingly cold approach <ok>

We're wide open for Twitter pranks at present, we just have to take it on the chin.

I don't understand how training can be finished at 1pm starting at 10:30? Don't they do 6 hours with specific lunch provided?

Alan Pardew doesn't agree with that approach. After Sunderland smashed us at SJP the lads where given a well earned day off.

PDC had our lot in for training the next day? Our players seem to have bought into it though and I reckon the foreign contingent would rather have a stricter training regime too (its a continental approach to train hard every day regardless of the teams position and results) and thats maybe what is at the crux of the problem? They must feel that AP isnt taking the situation seriously enough?

Pardew doesn't agree with football management, it would seem. I'm not saying they should be in on Sunday, but 2.5 hours the next working day? It's no wonder they don't care. Anyone worth their salt knows they'll be in a top flight somewhere next season, and that's the point - Pardew doesn't inspire the players to want to be doing that here. I wonder if this new management structure has done little more than make us a big, well-lit shop window.

Not at this stage of the season, its more important to rest the body. It will have been the same last year when riding high in 5th. Its not the problem for me. This is professional football and you just have to accept this side of it. Of course different managers have different approaches but after a murderous season, more training won't do them much good.

What I don't accept is an inept performance lacking any heart and soul on Saturday afternoon from manager and players.

Hey, I'm not saying they should be out there slogging over the pitch for 6 hours. But why are they not in a meeting room talking about the issues, airing the problems, reviewing the match. Whether you do that with severity or over a beer, it's what you do. You are all in it together, not packing up and fcking off to play Xbox at 1pm. Yet another example of his **** management, IMO.

I have been saying this for a long time; it will be Ashley's business plan to finish mid-table for maximum profits.

Finish too high and the costs with the expectations arise. Get it wrong and finish too low and then, well, it goes wrong.

If Newcastle end up 15th then Ashley will be pleased as he makes a few more million out of the outgoing transfer window. Newcastle are a feeder club for the Premiership at the moment.

Still, if this continues next season I will continue to trade the Toon on the Betfair markets as I have done this year and churn a profit. There is only one person who can be happy with scrappy football and finishing low down and that's the owner. Get his mule in, take control of the transfer market and the man can made a very tidy profit on the back of everyone; the fans and the television companies.

If these player's are not fit enough to give 3 or 4 hours a day in the weekday for just 9 months of the year then I am a 15 year old Buddhist, Turkish Penis scientist with a one eye and 3 nipples.

We don't know what they've done since the game though and to be honest I'm not really ****ing interested. Our interest extends to match day. we can talk tactics, mind sets, training, etc all day long. None of them explain Saturday. That was a set of players not having a set of nuts between them. You can play any formation known to man, talk all day long about how you'll approach the game. Once you get on that pitch you need to get on it and be ready to scrap. There is an old saying which never rang truer than Saturday for me. "You have to earn the right to play first" We weren't interested in the earn bit and we made sure Liverpool didn't have to.

Don't get me wrong I believe how you approach preparation for a game and the whole mental approach is vital in football at the top level these days. I believe strongly in discipline etc because its like a business, the core values you set out will determine what you are on the pitch. But there comes a point when none of that matters. It is the minimum standards I'm talking about. The minimum, absolute minimum for me, is 100% effort from players on a Saturday. We didn't get that against Liverpool. The board and manager can carry the can for so many things, but some things come from the players and their will when the chips are down. To me, we look like we have a set of heartless bastards who don't give two jots about the shirt.

...and you'd be right. But as said elsewhere, this is a business and it's about profits, not glory. Sadly, these players are in the shop window at NUFC. Some, like Ba, have an openly-discussed clause basically allowing them to join a bigger club. The "mistake" we made with him had nothing to do with the football - the mistake was the clause was a little light so we couldn't quite stretch to a replacement!

Of course we have heartless players - I don't think they've been sold on NUFC, I think they've been sold a ticket destined for the top, but that requires a change-over at Newcastle station. Now they all want out that bit quicker.

Is that the same Cabaye (captain) who didn't have the nerve to give his thoughts after the Liverpool game? Leaving it to local lads, Shola and Stevie.

To be fair to Cabaye he looks lost in our team at the moment with so little quality or tactics around him and he genuinely looked gutted at the end rather than the not caring attitude attached to most players. As for Sissoko he has been pants for a few games now and i would put him on the bench for this weekend anyway. Not saying hes rubbish mind, just that like Mbiwa and Haidara hes going through a tough spell that many new foreign players do and we cant expect magic every week till they settle in properly.

Sissoko looks more lost than Cabaye. At least Cabaye and Cisse are trying their best, but Pardew has Sissoko in a position he doesn't know how to play . And I'm baffled by how players like Anita and Marveaux are frozen out of the team in favour of players like Jonas who on a consistent basis offer next to nothing.
