He's not the only person thinking it - just take a look on twitter. Hughton seems to think we can defend our way to safety with a 'let's not get beaten' mentality. It failed at Wigan and it crashed and burned in spectacularly dismal style at Stoke <doh>

We haven't got the personnel to do this - Lambert recognised this and countered it by spending lengthy periods in the opponents half, forcing them to defend.
It really is getting more depressing by the week to be a Norwich supporter - let's hope the kids put on a performance tonight - cos the long-suffering YellArmy are long overdue one. <ok>

I didn't see Saturday's game so I will have to take everyone's word for it that the passing, crossing etc was woeful. But I assume from the stats that it was that way in the first half. So did he make any changes to the personnel or system?
Anyone can see when one or more players is having a mare. We have three subs. One can come on early surely (didn't intend that!). Why do managers who have witnessed an hour of dross decide then is the time to change it?

I think that no manager can take full responsibility for individuals playing poorly. I am sure CH picked what he felt was the best XI to get a result. However I completely agree with Redruth that once you can see that the team is playing poorly you earn your managerial corn by changing things and using the subs to facilitate a change in tactics. My biggest criticism of CH is his lack of tactical substitutions which I expect is made worse by the fact that his predecessor had this as one of his strenghts. It will be interesting to say the least to see how the two managers compare and contrast on Saturday.

I'm afraid with every passing game I start to agree with carrabuh more. Captain Negative has strangled the life out of this squad. The players may be playing poorly but it is the manager that must get the best out of them. If they under perform he should bring in another member of the squad eager to impress and inject positivity. CH is completely incapable of change and motivation, half the squad know that if they get a chance through injury, even if they run rings around the oposition score 6 and make team of the week, he will drop them for his favoured player who knows where to stand in the line, can't take any chances with a player who plays with freedom, our nineth defender must not be out of the line! As someone who can't make all the home games I have to pay the rather high casual prices, If DM thinks I'm gonna pay them with this clown at the helm next season they've got another thing coming.

I know he can sign good players, but if he then ruins them whats the point? If we are to have our largest ever transfer budget this summer, the way I see it is why let this one trick pony waste it all and then have to replace him in october when we still haven't picked up an away point and might have a couple of edgy, sightly lucky 1-0's at home? Get someone in after the last game of the season. McNasty can say thanks Chris you kept us up (I still think he will) but quite frankly your footballs sh#t and Delia's had enough, the fans have had enough and I would rather read Delia's copy of cross stitch monthly than watch that turgid excuss for football your serving up!

I know they would represent gambles, but I'd like to see Zola or Poyet (or a positive manager, really any one who isn't MON or CH) (or Dowie, Bruce and a very long list of other serial failures)

Sorry Beef my glass isn't half full, its not even half empty I threw the half empty bugger at the computer screen in disgust at more insipid rubbish served up by chuckles!

    Bah!

Cromer I do agree with you but I am willing to give him a chance if we stay up to build his own squad and progress.

Tell you what though, the RVW better be some kind of footballing god because unless we get a much more creative midfield he is going to have about 1 chance a game, if that.
