My Heart say's WIN but my Head is saying 'Oh ****'!!!

Despite all PDC has done and said, and fully believing in his ethos and tactics I am still bricking it with regards tonight in case the SAFC Effect emerges!

Whenever we play on MNF we are crap, we have never Won whilst being on MNF, whenever we have a chance to ease our worries or jump several places up the league we let ourselves believe we only need to turn up to win and in doing so don't.

I Do not for one minute believe/think PDC will allow this to happen willingly but having followed the Lads for so long i still think this 'curse' is still there.

It will be a very hard game tonight and despite Paul Lambert's belief the noise and atmosphere from their 'Home' game will unsettle PDC and the Lads, I think they will get a bit of a shock when they realise the noise is from the Wearside Hoards.

PDC has worked wonders instilling confidence and belief into the Team, but I think after all these years it will take him a little longer to get rid of the pre match nerves/doubts of this Fan!

    Haway the Lads!!!!!!!

Yeah still very worried but less so on the fact that we have Soton and Stoke coming up at home.

Draw tonight would be an acceptable result. Win would be fantastic (when is the last time we won 3 in a row though?)

Of course we are, this is SAFC afterall....

However, I am more hopeful now than any other time. MON got off to a great start cos he promoted Mcclean to the 1st team and that set us on a good run. PDC has made do with exactly the same players, but has changed the shape of the team and has given us better tactics and formation. Of course the new manager effect is also at play, but less so than with MON imo.

A little less bothered given the way we are going at the minute and, again am actually looking forward to a game even if it's on Sky.
Villa will not lie down for us and I doubt we will do the same so it won't be a masterclass type of game but, it should be a good one especially if we do manage 3 wins in a row (anyone know the last time we did that in the PL?).
Still going for the draw though a result that while not great would probably suit both teams keeps us ticking over and keeps Villa ahead of Wigan by 3.

Think back to when we played the mags, we were all bricking it and we won. than everton and we were unsure yet quietly confident now comes the villa game where we'd take a point but I'm reading fellow poster saying stuff em. Confidence is spreading match by match. Nerves are understandable but fading game by game. hopefully we'll be brimming come the stoke game <ok> :)

Not bricking it at all tbh. Concerned of course as we are still not safe but strangely excited and can't wait for the game actually.

I think the pressure is totally on them as the home team, desperately needing to win and will suit our game.

Fancy a win; happy with a draw and just don't lose.:D

    Nope not in the least.
Going to be a hard game and have a feeling that the referee is going to have a big say in the result.
Both teams are going to be up for it and I hope the daft tackles don't come in from our lads.
Sess brought down edge of the area and the ensuing freekick deciding the game.

So just another Monday for me and just another game, perfectly calm and relaxed about it.
By the way did you know there is only THREE HOURS AND TWENTY THREE MINUTES to go to kick off?
Not that I'm worried mind. <ok>

I'm as excited as Gary Glitter in Toys r us and I fully expect another 3 points.

If we do lose however it puts a bit more pressure on Newcastle and I am confident we would get the necessary points in the next 2 home games.
