The team really need our support next Saturday - for the full 90 minutes even if we don't score early. We have to do everything we can or we can't complain if the players don't succeed. What can we do to spread the message? I know plenty of people see this board but it obviously isn't everyone. I want everyone to be up for this and just make sure they don't start groaning at every pass. Can we start some kind of campaign if we spread it through Amber Nectar, CI, Burnsy etc? I'm fed up of just reading about it on here every day. Surely we can do something about the lack of support and make sure - even if it's just for one game - that we give everything in the stands just as the players will on the pitch.
What the team really need is a ****ing good look at themselves and a solid 90 minute performance. It's easy to look at the fans because that is something within our control with regards to the atmosphere but the reality is that if they play anything like they have in the last 3 games we could be playing in a packed out wembley stadium with fever pitch and they will still get beat. The prospect of messing this up will get the crowd going I think. Whilst many may turn this into a negative atmosphere at least there will be some noise and it gets the team going for it.
Yesterday we had one of the biggest away followings in the league this season, if not the biggest, yet it had no effect. It's not about us, it's about the team, we performed, they didn't.
Ive got to take my hat off to you yes i am down in the dumps like most on here but when i walk through that turnstyle at the kc on Saturday i don't care who is sat around me i will shout my bloody head off and get behind the lads, i will not go full of confidence but i won't give up hope
I agree with that, but us shouting and getting on their backs won't help. Us singing and being there might not of helped yesterday but it won't have a negative effect. Us jumping on the players backs and moaning when they pass it back will have a negative effect. Whether it has an effect or not, for one we can we not have the KC collectively groan when we pass it backwards. Lets get behind them and back them no matter what.
I had to tune in to Mr Burns and Swanny. Burns complained more than once, that the away support was none existent ?
You can't call 6,000 travelling supporters 'none existent', they were in great voice until they watched how **** we were. I'll be supporting them as normal at the weekend and people moaning obviously doesn't help anyone, but trying to blame the fans for yesterday's performance is utterly ridiculous.
This post is spot on, the fans have not been very good this season but they have also been very patient at times. Can't blame them for our league position. If they were that bad would we be second if it was having such a big effect?
Oh i wasn't questioning or blaming our fans, more wondering if Mr Burns was being accurate,in his report.
We need to all go there and boo them onto the pitch and moan and groan, it's the only way they're going to prove us wrong. Olm I expect you to dish out dogs abuse when they leave the tunnel, and anyone who gets to the kc early enough to wait for the players to arrive and abuse them one by one, maybe try start a fight or eleven. Lastly, if we're losing and no way of turning it round by 85th ish minute, we should all do a pitch invasion and batter all the officials so the game has to be abandoned and replayed, repeat until we win.
Talking of support anybody go in the Chicago Rocks pub in Barnsley centre at the weekend? If you went on train most likely you'd have been frog marched there. Probably one of the best pre match drinks i've had. City fans at their best in there. Great atmosphere, people singing & dancing. Class. Then we got to the ground and it all went down hill.
The team need to grow some balls, get out there and deliver the ****ing performance of their lives. They have created this hugely unnecessary situation by being completely ****ing **** for the last 3 games. After that debacle at Oakwell, it is the PLAYERS that owe the fans a performance.
I think everybody, including the players, has to have the mentality that EVERYTHING that has gone before this season is meaningless. This is a simple equation. WE GAIN PROMOTION TO THE PREMIERSHIP IF WE WIN THIS GAME..............IT'S A BUBBLE, NOTHING ELSE COUNTS. ROAR!!!
Steve Bruce needs to get to the players next week and to look into their eyes. If he sees a fighter he's in. If he sees a frightened rabbit he's out. Needs to then pick his team accordingly. The support turned up in force at Barnsley but found we didn't have a team to support. It's up to the players to make amends on Saturday, not the supporters.
This is what I'm getting at. The KC seems to be inhabited by clueless ****s who think every backward pass is a disgrace and starts groaning when we give the ball away. The Barnsley fans should have been silenced by us on Saturday but we hardly made a noise after the 4th minute. The timing of the goal was devastating but we still didn't do enough. For such a massive game to have all those fans there excited for the game and thinking about it all week but then give up after 4 minutes is just ****. They've been second bottom all season while we've been second but they didn't give a ****. Yes it was easier for them having scored so early but still. We had that packed away end and did nothing with it.
It's easy to blame the fans, and the KC is indeed like a morgue at times. However you cant cheer ****e. The players need to come out on Saturday with the bit between their teeth, and I'm sure we will all be right behind them!
Never mind people moaning at backwards passes the people behind me couldn't grasp the idea of having a defence and was moaning all 10 outfield players wernt in their box "You only need the goalkeeper back to stop them scoring, why not try attacking you might score then"
