Gerrard, Reina, Johnson and Henderson should have been in. They really have been that good this season, outstanding. And that's aside from the obvious Suarez, so half that completely **** team should make up team of the year in la la world!

The Liverpool board as a whole have complete blinkers on when it comes to Carrick. they just refuse, for the main, to admit how good he has been these last few years. Although they know most of their team is world class, obviously.

Liverpool are a dieing force, Their star player looks like he belongs in a Psych ward, Going to be a long tim till they break into top 4, they had a good result against a team who had less fight than a dead fish. For a team with a history like theirs, surely having no trophies again is s failure of a season.

He deserves it for being consistently excellent for over three quarters of the season. That's all there is to it. I can see how Cech gets a mention for his overall consistency and it's a toss upbetween the two but that's it, no one else comes even close.

Shows that you obviously only look at the big clubs. Begovic and Mignolet have been fantastic these season and it should have been between them two.
