Not sure about that. Newcastle have conceded 9 goals without reply in their last two games. They lost 6-0 to Liverpool at home, FFS. And that's a Liverpool team without Suarez.
Well that's the thing, eventually such a **** record has to end, 3-0 to Sunderland, 6-0 to Liverpool, and it's always Arsenal's luck, that when we meet such a team, they just happen to get a good result. Also if Newcastle are fighting to avoid that last relegation spot, they will fight double hard, and in front of their own fans too. St.James has rarely been easy for us, 0-0 last season, and that famous 4-4 in 2011, so it will be a tough game. BUT hopefully we don't **** up beforehand with QPR and Wigan. You can just see Redknapp doing everything he can next week to beat us for his beloved Spurs, it's only the incentive he's got for QPR right now.
Lol. Arry does not give a **** about Spurs. He cares about himself, only. After QPR were relegated today, he was laughing and joking with the Reading manager. As Piskie said on another thread, Arry and his players are already thinking about their summer holidays. I am pretty confident ahead of that game.
I'll be rooting for the Chavs against Spurs. Even though it might mean we finish fourth instead of third.
I disagree with your take on QPR. Now the players have got the club relegated they will be plenty playing for moves elsewhere. That may fire them up, no player puts in a half arsed performance against a side like Arsenal.
That's a very optimistic view of it DL. I think most of those players will be just wanting to get this game over with so that they can go on their summer holidays and then think about their futures in the window. I don't think for one minute they will be fired up, quite the opposite in fact.
I think it could get messy if you score early. I expect you to win but narrowly. Wigan at home will be your hardest game IMO. Praying Newcastle get sucked into the dogfight so they have something to play for against you, it's getting that desperate
QPR-We'll rape them if WE turn up WIgan-Need to scrape for a win N'Castle- They'll be safe by then so we SHOULD take the win
They needed a win against us but didn't even look remotely bothered, Arsenal score early - Newcastle get raped.
Let's be honest, take away the individual defensive errors and we'd be away, gone and qualified already, Sagna's yesterday was worse than schoolboy and almost indescribable, it baffles me how talented players can make such basic costly mistakes. Don't get me wrong on the balance of play 1-1 was a fair result and no question Theo's goal was offside and if I'm honest I'd have taken a point before the game, but having dominated the first half, got the lead, created plenty of opportunities to add to that lead, we should have gone in at the break in front, that moment of insanity completely turned the game and Utd came out with belief after the break and looked the better side for most of it. I think 7 points will be enough but any sort of slip up at QPR or home to Wigan and I think we'll be paid up members of the Thursday night club, it's a position that should have been out of the question though for me...
