Besides, without CL footy is it gonna be hard to attract already established top class players and before someone says we got Suarez without CL footy he had yet to prove it he could do the same in the 3rd best league after doing the business in Holland. Just my opinion. From what I have heard, Liverpool arent gonna just throw silly money around. Cant see Rogers being given much more than 20- 30 mil. Carroll is likely to be sold and Suarez could easily be on the way out. Like I said, if that money was spent wisely you could strengthen to challenge for top 4 which is the next stage before heading for bigger things. Thats what the current aim should be. Maybe a look at a couple of the malaga players (arsenal got cazorla for cheapish and he is very good) maybe have a crack at alonso etc.. Remy is rumoured to be off to Anfield and he looks decent from what ive seen. HIm and Sturridge up front - not a bad strikeforce!

I don't want any sugar daddy. Having complained vehemently for years about money ruining the game it would be hypocritical of me to change now. Of course, if it happens I can hardly make a one-man protest and so would have to accept it, but I'd much rather the rules were enforced to make things fairer for all clubs, and not just the high profile few.
