I fancied it to be Clarke. I think he'd be a decent appointment, he'd certainly instil some passion into them. He loves the club, did ok at huddersfield and hasn't done to badly at a bankrupt Brum.

Am I the only person that wouldn't take Di Matteo???

Did ok at West Brom but nothing fantastic and fluked a champions league win.

Rafa just doesn't excite me, but he has proven pedigree, plays relatively good football and would definitely get the best out of Cabaye, Ben Arfa & Marveaux in particular. Certainly has very good tactical knowledge and with all of his rotation we'd definitely not hear any more "the lads were tired today" excuses!

How reliable is Mick Lowes by the way?

Just been talking to a Sunderland fan in the pub and even he can't understand how Parpoo is still here.

A lot of Norwich fans aren't too happy with CH mate.
Too negative in his tactics for them.

No problem with a straight swap for Parpoo then.

I've been a big defender of Pardew, but it's clear now he's lost the plot. I don't know why it's happened but he's not in control and the team is not producing. Given the talent the results are disgraceful, and I don't see how sacking him now could actually make anything worse. He is, in my opinion, now a negative force for the club, and we are better off without him.

With all that said, I am sorry it has come to this, because I do think that he genuinely loves the club and wants it to do well.

Also I wouldn't mind Rafa. He's a good lad who likes the north.

I can't see Rafa coming to the toon. He'd be too restricted in what he's allowed to do in the transfer market under our current policy, so unless MA or DL are willing to change this and listen to the manager then there's not a cat in hells chance this will happen. I know every manager wants his own say over transfers etc etc, and Pardew is no different in that respect. The only difference with Pardew is that he's a puppet and I'm convinced there is an ulterior motive for him being at the club as manager so he's basically gotta do as his told.

I guess we'll find out come the summer if he's given the bullet.

One things for sure, if we stay up, MA and DL will want to ensure that we're not ran this close again as long as they're at the club, surely that can only point to a change in manager.

Personally, I've been disgusted with some of the performances this season. Pardew's insistence on picking player such as Gutierrez and Tiote etc when they're have been better performing players available for selection has pissed me off no end, but you kinda reserve judgement at the time thinking there is a footballing/tactical reason for picking them. That being said, I'm still of the opinion that we need to at least start next season with Pardew and review at Christmas. If he's still picking players out of favouritism, and playing players out of position (with a near fully fit squad) and we're not performing on the pitch and picking up points then sack him off.

Colo coming back into the team may well just save us from the drop.

It looks like the internet rumours are bollocks.

It was a guy who heard it off his mate off a text from another mate who apparently was in the pub with Mick Lowes.

@iwantcrlyhairtoo has MLs number so texted him and ML said 'I Wish'...

This is the key problem because we all know that once you lose the faith of the paying public here, its a case of when not if. I'm with Bobby's Jig, I'm not inspired by RDM or Rafa, I think both would end in tears. Rafa is the exact opposite of what people want here. His style of football is ok but nothing flash, and he is very much a tactical manager who likes to tinker and cancel out the oppo first and foremost. He rotates regularly and plays players out of position to deal with opposition threats. RDM looks a decent young manager but the jury is still very much out and I think he represents a fair old risk. He did ok at West Brom and was decent with Chelsea but our squad doesn't have that kind of experience.

I think if we are going to change and take a risk I'd rather it was with an untainted young manager with a bit of passion, who has shown a desire to play passing attacking football. Poyet fits the bill for me but equally, I wouldn't mind looking further afield to the likes of Germany and Spain who are way ahead with coaching methods.

I'm in shock, we finially agree on something <laugh>

Good post though, Poyet would definitely be at/near the top of my list.

I reckon I, like most people on here could pick a good ****ing team and get them playing the way they should.

For the next game I'd go with :

Harper in goal.....Elliott ****ing bottled it for a good number of liverpools goals at the weekend so has to be dropped
    Simpson, Colo, Taylor, Haidara
    Sissoko, Cabaye, Le Gouff
    Ben Arfa, Cisse, Le Marv

That would scare the living **** out of any team I reckon

My pre match team talk simples....

Chase every loose ball, make sure you challenge for every ball and try and get there first, don't dive in, don't give stupid fouls away outside our box, keep the ball on the deck and pass it about unless you're under pressure.

A special note for the front 6, hassle their defence like ****, chase every ball, nothing is a lost cause, run at them with the ball and try and scare the **** out of them, get them to foul you in the final 3rd of the pitch.

A special note for everyone...don't give them time and space with the ball.

Extra special note for Saylor....stick to Andy Carroll like a ****ing tramps vest, own that mother ****er and put him in your pocket. Man mark the **** out of him and don't give him the time of day. He'll get pissed off and smack you one eventually and get sent off, the. Fat Sam will turn crimson and have another heart attack !

If it helps I could shout and chuck a couple of tea cups around if it gets the message across.

    Ends
