Pretty much. Look at the way Dortmund hounded Madrid for 90 minutes in the CL. They pressed but did it with more intelligence. Our's was more manic and there was no way that we could keep that up.
There was no way we were going to be able to keep that up for 90mins, but I did like the way that we chased down every ball, pressed the defenders and got stuck into the tackle. Our goal was a great example of pressing the ball, forcing RVP into a mistake and then moving the ball forward quickly.
Seriously concerned about Jack Wilshere. It's got to the stage where bringing him on actually weakens our side. He's being totally outplayed by Rosicky and Ramsey right now.
I was pleased that it was a fairly even contest, showing that we are closing the gap on United quality-wise. Wilshere needs a few games to get back into it. At the begining of the week-end I would have taken us matching Spurs' points.
So, we are down to the final three games. QPR - Already down, and have been dreadful in the past weeks. Wigan - They are probably going to still be in the relegation dogfight, but that games comes three days after the FA Cup final. Newcastle - In horrible form, and conceded nine goals without reply at home in their last two league games.
Don't want to see Sagna starting any other games this season. Been poor for a while but Wenger seems determined to keep him in the team. Although I can't fault Wenger or any of the other players for the first half performance. And once Utd scored the second half was always going to go in their favour.
Not sure the team could have done much more, we just dont have good enough players. Sagna was **** however, got roasted all game
Very poor game from Sagna, but I wouldn't drop him at this stage. He is still a quality RB and will probably put in a good performance next week. I thought Podolski was poor up front today, and it really highlighted our need to bring in a top quality striker in the summer
I didn't say that, ******. I just said i'm concerned about his performances right now, i didnt call him washed up.
Better from Walcott today and i though Koscielny was decent, Mertesacker was nowhere to be seen every time Utd broke
Ramsey is going up in my estimation. He'll never be a top player, but his 1 man wrecking ball display today was impressive. I forget how many United players he roughed up. Good on him, we need a physical aspect.
