New season kicks off this weekend at Monza. Race 1: Saturday 6th April, 12pm. (Qualifying at 8am) Race 2: Sunday 7th April, 12pm. (Qualifying at 8am) Race 1 is live on Eurosport 1, they're only showing highlights of race 2 so hopefully there'll be a stream.
A one two for the McLaren prodigies at Monza! Stoffel Vandoorne in his very first race in FR 3.5 drove a brilliant race to win ahead of Kevin Magnussen. Felix Da Costa was on for a certain second place and was closing in on Vandoorne before he suffered a puncture. Britain's Oli Webb had a good race just missing out on a podium in fourth. As ever the driving was exemplary compared to GP2 apart from the start and it should be a good battle for the championship between Da Costa and the McLaren boys
Felix Da Costa won the second race after a race long battle with Magnussen and in the early stages Vandoorne, Arthur Pic (younger brother of Charles) finished fourth pushing Vandoorne for third towards the end. Oli Webb was set for a top six finish before picking up a puncture on the final lap of the race, he finished ninth in the end. After the first race Vandoorne leads the way and it already looks like we are on for a certain three way battle for the championship. 1 Stoffel Vandoorne 40 2 Kevin Magnussen 36 3 António Félix da Costa 25 4 Arthur Pic 20 5 Christopher Zanella 19 Next meeting is in Aragon, Spain in three weeks time.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/106590 Not sure whether I want a good fight or da Costa to destroy everyone. Those three all look excellent prospects, da Costa's pretty much guaranteed an F1 seat at the end of the year, I hope the other two get a shot in the next few years.
Well I definitely don't think Da Costa's going to be destroying anybody right now. 32 points off the championship lead with Magnussen, Vandoorne and Pic all proving pretty stern opposition four races in. Not a strong weekend in Aragon. Could be quite an exciting fight for the championship

This weekend at Spa Magnussen continues to dominate he scored an impressive win yesterday with Da Costa coming home in second and he is now on pole for today's race with Da Costa back in sixth. Unfortunately Eurosport are showing tennis all day and are only showing highlights at 11 in the evening which is annoying.
Just seen the highlights on Eurosport (which were terrible, cut out half the race) and Vandoorne won from Will Stevens who drove superbly overtaking Magnussen on the penultimate lap. Da Costa was fourth after having another difficult weekend in which he lost points to his championship rivals but he still improved on his terrible weekend in Aragon and his fifth in Monaco. Standings are now: 1. Kevin Magnussen 115 2. Stoffel Vandoorne 86 3. Antonio Felix Da Costa 71 4. Nico Muller 55 5. Will Stevens 54 Magnussen's consistency has been impressive just one finish outside of the top five so far and five podiums. Been really impressed with him. Next meeting is in three weeks time in Russia at a circuit I have never heard of.
Vandoorne leads the championship after winning both races in Moscow. Da Costa had a right mare in race 2, qualified 13th, damaged his wing, pitted twice and then retired. please log in to view this image Vandoorne - 136 Magnussen - 133 Da Costa - 89 Stevens - 81 Muller - 73
Very Impressive from Vandoorne stunning weekend to get pole, the win and fastest lap in both races. He is a serious talent. Da Costa being overshadowed here if he's not careful he could end up 4th or 5th in the standings which isn't really good enough.
Vandoorne is starting to look very promising, looks to be on a roll at the moment which will only increase his confidence.
