"That performance was the worst since I came here and totally unacceptable. We played without pride and I can assure supporters that won't happen again.

"We owe them an apology. In our last game at "xxxxxxxxx" we looked as though we shouldn't be relegated, but today we showed why we are going down.

"Losses are inevitable at times and it is how you lose that counts. We have a lot of work to do during the summer and need to man-up."

Today is SO'D's turn to offer apologies for a dismal performance; Sounds exactly like, apart from the sniffing, McInnes, Millen, Coppell, Johnson.

There is something very wrong at Ashton Gate and it cannot be five decent, honourable, and capable managers. It's the shower of SXXXE that are paid too much even if we were a bottom of the Prem team and far too much for the pitiful level of performances that most of them have given over the past five years or for less time if they are more recent arrivals at BCFC.

There are probably only two or three that I can think of right now, that I would keep if by any chance, I was to become City's next manager for next season.

I listened to the first twenty minutes and it was awful; fortunately I then had to go out for a couple of hours so did not sit glued to the radio for the next seventy minutes of utter dross. I'll watch The Football League show so I can get a better idea of who and why, but to say I am ashamed of my lifelong team, Bristol City, is an massive understatement.

If Mr O'Driscoll believes that he played our strongest team today he is sadly mistaken. The kids from the Under 21's and even the Under 16's would have given more effort and showed more passion than the spineless bunch of twats that wore the red shirt today.
Any talk of recovery next season while this lot are still on the books is reminiscent of "Never never land". Never any good, never any fight, never any passion. And then drive off to the five bedroom mansion in the "Chelsea Tractor".

I'm going to get shot down now but SOD has to take his share of our demise, today was total ****, terrible play, lacklustre spirit, childish tactics, unbelievable bad team selection, I pissed off early and missed the last goal, it was total crap and tomorrow our hero will tell us all, what a bunch of heroes those players were today...

I am so ****ing ashamed of our Bristol City team......Sorry, nuff said....

SOD was not s happy man after the game, big changes for the new season,he said himself he saw plenty that were not good enough today.
I have complete faith in him to sort this crap out over the summer.

I'm not joining Red Robin' gang where SoD can walk on water, but he more or less said they were crap today, so I'm sticking with him.

But I'm not creaming my pants, to me he's had 20 games and the way Del was slagged off by others on here when he lost the plot but saying we needed new defence. A lot of posters said it wasn't Del but the players, others argued it was the manager, but I thought it was both. Hopefully SoD will get rid of most today who started and a new look team next season.

If its more a less the same then I will run out of patience with him, to me they got 2 managers sacked so they are the rot in this club, not the board not the managers but the players who think they can do what they want apart from appreciate the fans who pay their wages.

ROD it was McInnes as well as the defenders. All this **** of "we didn't get any CB's in" Yes we ****ing did we got 2 in one was McManus and the other Danny Wilson. He didn't play 1 and the other should never have been played. He played foster every game and a terrible fontaine out of position, He refused to play Anderson. He was the making of his own failure. Im glad he's gone and I feel more confident going in to next season with SOD than I would McInnes.

Yesterdays performance was **** yes, but every home game except 2 under McInnes was crap. SOD hasn't done us any good this 2nd half of the season but we were always going down, We just wasn't good enough to stay up there wasn't 3 teams worse than us this season, In fact there wasn't even 1 team worse than us. ill be glad when its finished

But where will this "Fresh Start" lead us?

Unless we can get rid of all the dross that has dragged us in a downward spiral for the last four years, the misery will continue.

    Here is my forecast for next season;

WE WILL FINISH NEARER THE BOTTOM THAN THE TOP OF THE LEAGUE SO FORGET ABOUT A RECOVERY WITH A SNIFF OF PROMOTION.

WE ARE MORE LIKELY TO END UP IN LEAGUE TWO THAN PULL UP ANY TREES AGAINST ANOTHER 23 DIFFICULT TO PLAY AGAINST TEAMS IN LEAGUE ONE.

I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE CRAWLEY AND SWINDON AND WALSALL MAKING US LOOK COMPLETE IDIOTS JUST LIKE HUDDERSFIELD DID YESTERDAY.

I SERIOUSLY WONDER HOW LONG SEAN O'DRISCOL AND RICHARD KELLY WILL PUT UP WITH NON PERFORMANCES LIKE YESTERDAY BEFORE THEY SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND FIND EMPLOYMENT ELSEWHERE.

I keep say this (all season) - the group of players that we have are mentally weak.

Yesterday was typical of them - no heart, no leadership, no work-rate when the going gets tough.

A clear out is going to happen because of the financial situation - maybe that's a good thing anyway.

Thank god there were no young players in that side to be tainted by it

I sincerely hope you are correct, but the realist in me says that we may still have the dross left that are under contract until at least the end of next season because who else in their right mind would want to pay a transfer fee for any of them! Even if it's only a couple of the malingerers left, they will continue to spread their poison through the squad as they have done for the last four to five years.
I cannot at this moment feel any confidence that a recovery will happen.

Your missing the point, I'm not defending McInnes I'm saying the problem is the players! If you read it probably you will see I said BOTH. We all knew Del lost the plot and yes he bought in McManus who IMO was crap.
    Read what I said.

Shiny you keep pointing out about particular players being played and that tainting that particular manager!

Any manager who continues to play Kilkenny becomes the most tainted of all in my opinion..

The atmosphere before the game was that despite what has happened this year, people had come to acknowledge the players and see off the end of the season in a philosphical mood.

After about 20 minutes, I said to the guys that this wasn't going to happen and in fact, I left with 5 minutes to go (never done that before at the end of season), as I was that disappointed and didn't think that they deserved to be acknowledged.

That said, whilst it appeared that the reality of the situation and the consequences of possibly finding themselves unemployed in July had finally descended on more than half of our team, the ones with a bit of professional pride still fought on, Steve Davis, Sam Baldock and Greg Cunningham displayed the will but its very hard to play 11 men with 3 or 4 trying...

no banksy <doh> Im pointing out players EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US HAVE. All of which are defenders. All of which helped us get our club record defeats in a row. All of which have helped contribute to the worse defence in the whole of the football leagues.

If you want to single out Kilkenny for the reason we are going down and SOD for picking him go ahead. I blame the defence, McInnes and SOD for not getting anyone in.

ROD I did read what you put, Did I say you were defending McInnes? no. I was just saying my opinion of why we are going down, Although I forget most on here know it all and anyone else's opinion is invalid to them.....

Again I didn't say it was my opinions. I read what one4, red robin and redprintt all write on here and the amount of people that get on there back for just giving there opinion is a joke. They get accused of being negative and not backing the team because there opinions are different to others.

No mate, people take exception to being called "idiots" or "stupid fans" because they hold different opinions to those people.!

Thats why I never refer to people who have a different opinion to mine as an idiot or any other such insult, this is a tactic used by people to try to gain superiority to their own opinion and belittle the other person.

    You have surprised me today..
