    Newcastle fan here.

Just want to say I really admire the football you're playing now. Even though our attempt at an offside trap was the worst thing I've ever seen, you are a well organised side and play great football.

I hope you sell that ***got Suarez and get a better man to lead your line.

You look a better team without him.

It would be easy to get carried away and suggest we are a better side without Suarez based of today's performance. But it would be ridiculous to suggest we shouldn't bring back a 30 goal a season striker immediately into the team as soon as he's available. The truth is that we do have a lot more quality in the team than most people give us credit for and it showed today with Coutinho and Sturridge playing magnificently. It must also be noted that Newcastle looked incredibly disjointed and distracted, and even a little lazy I'd have to say. You are a team packed with very talented individuals but as a team you seem to lack real cohesion.

Good luck for the rest of the season, the Premier League is a better league with Newcastle in it.

(But if you do go down I wouldn't mind us trying to pinch a couple of your Frenchys)

Cheers for the sentiments but there were a few things your own lot should not be proud of today, Tiote and Gutiérrez in particular, things they did that if it was our lad there would be uproar.

We were good today and ye were not so good today, one of those things. Good luck with the rest of your games<ok>

The real story was the fact Newcastle were so ****e that we didn't even need Suarez to beat you. Our ladies team would've beaten you the way you played today.

Real shame for a club like Newcastle, and their supporters, that they have to pay to watch such a gutless bunch of players.

Pretty sure Johnson was being just as daft and in all honesty we were lucky that he wasn't sent off. Stop trying to feel persecuted at every opportunity you're just pandering to the Wums.

Thought we played well and Newcastle were just unfortunate to be on the wrong end of it today. It could have easily been Reading 2 weeks ago but we somehow failed to score and it was only a matter of time before we really gave someone a thrashing.

Just need to start being consistent with it now.

Newcastle think just need 1 win and they should stay up. Wigan conceded the last minute today I think means either the or Villa are now down. A win for them today would have put them level with Villa and dragged Newcastle & Sunderland back into it but think it's now a 2 horse race between Villa & Wigan for that final spot.

    Handbags ladies.

Seriously though, I feel that despite Downing having a great game (really giving him credit here, though he didn't get as involved in most plays as I'd like a 20m pound player to), he was the weak link today. Suarez taking his spot could be fantastic for the club - but it could be selfish as well. If he plays so well with Coutinho it could be a positive strikeforce - Not to mention Borini getting his goal today.

it just goes to show that despite us saying for months that suarez is a world class outside forward rodgers has persisted with his as false 9. I am hoping that we buy anothe rplayer to challened sturridge up top and stick uarez and cuoutinho in wide forward roles next year some time.

    downing was average.

Jonhson wa spoor and gerrard and lucas again got over run. but we took our chances. it was our day... on another day we might have actually got beat... funny eh?

i have to say pardew really failed to look at lfc and and negate the threat of coutinho who in previous games has found his space severely restricted, he had a field day in space all game.

Oh and credit to borini. I think he is gash but the finish he delivered was excellent i nthe time he had, really all he could do to score and he placed it perfectly. He's fluffed his lines way too muc hfor me to think thats anyhitn gother than on off at this point.

I have to say that johnson's actual yellow was poor form the ref and i said to my mate watching the ref was giving himself too many decisions to make by waving silly yellows. Tiote should have got yellow for sure but seeing johnson had got one for half nothing he then failed to book either.

sturridge was lucky not to go for a blatent dive and frankly gutierrez was a right meal maker when he jumped into johnson. Poor reffing and some dodgy offsides too. bes tof luck to the FA cup finalists with that lot!

Tash, cheers mate. Hope you stay up. Then you can afford Carroll.

Mito, I like you. I hate it when people say we rely on Suarez. We ****ing don't. I honestly believe there are at least four draws this season, inc Reading and Man City, where he was greedy, selfish and wasteful and cost us three points. Why we don't have Sturridge as our main CF and Suarez n Courtinho off him is beyond me. That could be the good thing to come out of all this, BR spotting this too.

I was trying to think of who would be the 'bridge' part of this partnership. Then I realized it was a typo. 2 minutes of my life wasted... <doh>

Agree, though. Suarez cost us some wins when he was greedy, even if he got us some wins the same way. JesusChrist, you're awesome!
