Arsenal and WBA away were the worst.

Yes, I forgot Boruc; he did well today or it could have been worse.

Fair enough. Sunderland was dire. Arsenal away was dire. WBA away was dire.

Just a thought for a few fans: Araenal three months ago were shocking and getting battered by people; they are now on the brink of Champs League. Teams have bad days and don't perform. Today was like that, however we weren't bad in the first half.

We missed Cork in the second half . Was he injured?

I felt so confident about today - but it started to unravel when I woke with a splitting headache and on the way to the match I realised my flask of hot water was leaking into my nap-sack and I barely rescued the two tickets that we partly sodden by the time I pulled them out. After kick-off the feeling of unease stayed with me and the rest is history...

Heavens weren't we awful??? Easy to blame the ref but we did not have a clue how to break them down once we got into the final third. I am also concerned that there was no Plan B today and taking off Cork did not seem a good idea to me - if someone had to go then Lallana should have been the one removed at half-time.

We never looked like scoring and they always looked dangerous on the break - actually got one prediction right (unfortunately) because I said to the wife I can see them getting a second on the breakaway and they duly obliged about 90 secs later. The wife was not impressed with my tactical footballing brain - instead told me to zip-it in future cos the second goal was clearly my fault!!!!

Roll-on next week - we are still premiership - so lets enjoy that feeling at least

I agree and called Lallana off at half time.

Agree Sunderland was dire, didn't see Arsenal or WBA away so can't comment. As I say, today was the worst I've seen them.

I'm fairly sure that Poch mentioned about a possible 2-yellow cards and a sending off, so I guess it's relating to that.

Also, does anyone else think the referee was shocking today? Not seen it mentioned anywhere else

I thought the referee wasn't great, however he didn't change the course of the game and was no worse than the usual.

My only complaint on gaston's sending off was that he was fouled at least three times in the 49 yards he ran with the ball.

Well that proves that Opta get things very wrong then. I like Jos a lot but he was terrible today and looked like he had lead in his boots. Kept miss-timing his jumps

Yes. The writing was on the wall when Lukaka got in behind him after about two minutes with a straight pass and then Boruc saved.

Maybe he was so far off winning the header that they didn't consider him even in the "aerial duel" :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Jos was dreadful, Fox was, well Fox, Lallana frustrated the hell out of me, and for the second game running Rickie looked totally uninterested. And unless he was injured, Cork coming off was a strange one.

    Yoshida was alright though.

Oh well. At least we're on 39 points rather than, say 35 points.

Awful performance today. Can't take any positives from it, really.

Still think we have enough to stay up, but the final three games look tough.

Crikey you lot are such a fickle bunch. What happened to "top 6 next year"? Don't be so reactionary. We got beat by a team who defend very well and then hit you on the break. We aren't good against that style of play and WBA are the best in the EPL at it. It's not a disaster, it's a defeat, our first for a while.

Over-exaggerations, and getting too far ahead of ourselves. Running before we walk so to speak.
