Oh, I thought I must have been missing something else. If it makes you feel better he probably won't be back after that display! Sunderland boy isn't he!
****! Until I noticed the time of your post I thought Saints lost 6-0! (Just got back in). LOL at Newcastle, makes me feel better. But I have never been so angry at a football match before. I literally stormed out when WBA scored their 3rd. That was an awful performance from every Saints player today. And as for Ramirez. Well, he's ****ing lucky we didn't need the points today. I'm angry at him now, but if we needed the points badly, I would be ****ing seething at him. I mean, no red cards until today and the we get 2 in one game. At least Fox is suspended for the next game and I hope we get rid of him in the summer. Hooiveld was ****ing atrocious today, got beaten in the air virtually every time.
Good point - a bit of a reality check. Didn`t see the game, but I notice we had more possession and attempts ?????
Can't remember any clear chances really, we didn't do much of note with all that possession. Hooiveld won 4/5 aerial duels according to Opta.
By far the worst performance of the season ... there was no fight from the lads, they were the second to every ball and just generally looked shaky and nervy. Big improvement from this to next season, think people have been getting far too ahead of themselves recently. Can't think of a single good performance today from any of our players. In fact, it was that boring, my little brother fell asleep in his seat next to my girlfriend. I felt like joining him.
Yep and to be fair to the lad he was brilliant at Sunderland. It hasn't really worked out for him at Liverpool, mind due playing for them earned him a call up to England so I suppose it is not all bad.
Jesus. Sometimes saints fans are a bunch of muppets. We've been worse than today and as for no good performances, I still think Morgan was excellent, Clyne and Davis were very good. Listen, we were beaten by a very solid, professional team who came with a plan and we ran out of ideas. Some of our players were very poor, but lets not start hanging up the nooses yet.
A couple of things, can you moderate the language, the swear filter isn't working, and I hope you aren't one of those that were on here moaning about fans leaving early at games. I saw a remark somewhere that if the team didn't give 100% then they didn't see why the fans should, that's an attitude that will lose us a lot of kudos. This web site is as bad as the players today so I'll be giving it a miss for a while.
Clyne hit the bar and forced a smart stop from Foster, but that was about it. Rickie's late free-kick was about a foot wide from finding the far post and about an inch away from finding Rodriguez' head. And actually Davis also had a good chance on the edge of the box which he miscued. Other than that it was mostly looping headers, long-shots and the rest were blocked.
Yeah I am, but I moan at those who leave just to beat the traffic. I left because I was furious with the performance and didn't want to waste any more of my time watching it and I'm not going to apologise for it.
Agreed, our home performances have been so outstanding lately that when we get a mediocre one like today it gets blown out of proportion. The early goal was a big factor and dictated the pattern of the match. WBA were very well organised and didn't allow us to play around their penalty box, they were also broke very quickly which often caught us on the back foot. Boruc had a good game and I agree that Morgan and particularly Clyne were outstanding.
