I've never met a Chelsea fan that has done that. Find it very hard to believe you have.

Oh and ask TMT, he will tell you that if the ref gives it then it is the correct decision so those must have been goals.

I really struggle to see what some players bring to our team.

Naughton - several chances to impress and never really done it. He's still young and out of position but he certainly doesn't look like a future Spurs player atm.
Parker - I grow tired of his sideways passing and complete lack of goal threat. I wouldn't be too sorry if he left in the Summer (provided we replace him).
Dempsey - I forget who posted that he does nothing for weeks and then, just as the criticism is at its peak, he scores a few goals. Well he scored last week so I guess we're in the rubbish patch again - a player who does something akin to a decent performance in 1 game out 6 isn't a good enough player for us.
Adebayor - he didn't play today but he was still rubbish.

Pirouetting Parker was so good last year. Now he is just substandard.

You can't pretend Spurs haven't had luck. As for luck in recent seasons, the worst officiated games in Premier League and Champions League history (under the new format) have been at our expense. Chelsea v Barcelona (Ovrebo) and Chelsea v United (Clattenburg).

As for the goals crossing the line, no Chelsea would argue we got the rub of the green but again we have been on the receiving end ourselves but worse as the ghost goal was the only goal scored in the entire tie.

Well considering my post was only meant as a one line friendly bit of banter I was a bit surprised at the reaction I got, I don't discuss the money aspect of football as there's really nothing I can do about it, and I have been supporting Chelsea since 1968 ish. when money wasn't the big thing to supporters then that it is now but I don't ever intend to stop just because the world in general has become so money orientated. So what is the answer, I support my team because I always have and I love football. Yes I would rather see young players come through the ranks, and stop buying players that cost more and more, but that's not the world we live in now.

I didn't mention anything about City spending money btw so don't know where you got that from.
So I will consider myself duly told off now and retire back to my own board, Jeeez I thought you were supposed to be a friendly lot in here from what I heard <laugh>

It should be glass three quarters full for Spurs' fans, IMHO. Four points from two games v the reigning champions and then away to renowned relegation battlers is not to be sniffed at. If Utd beat Arsenal, it could a crucial point gained today.

Spurs are scoring goals. Bale seems to score almost every game he plays. Spurs have every chance of a top four place.

If you come onto a match thread when Spurs have just played poorly you must expect that we will not be in the best of moods. We all love you really angel. :emoticon-0128-hi:

But Arsenal and so have Chelsea. That draw was a good/bad as a defeat given the goal difference situation, ergo, the result itself was a glass quarter empty type result. Mathematically very tight, so in a lottery Spurs have slightly less than a two in 3 chance of making it. That's either glass 2 thirds full or glass third empty. Take your pick

Angel,I freely admit when Spurs are lucky. I posted that Liverpool were lucky against you. I posted that you were lucky to beat Basel. What is it that you don't like about being called lucky?

How were we 'lucky' to beat Basel? They were lucky to get that penalty and to be only a goal down! You might argue that Luiz should have been yellowed, possibly redded, but by that stage we should have been 3-0 up! Basel were lucky that we weren't.

Seriously mate, don't get into it, he's extremely simpleminded. We're lucky every game according to him.

Villa have a great history and generally a great bunch of fans. Many a time I've sat in the Holte End cheering Spurs (my ex brother in law was a season ticket holder) and they never gave me any grief. They are going through a rebuilding process at the moment and hopefully will become a decent side again. Season after season Wigan find themselves in a relegation scrap at the end of the season and just pull themselves out with a late run. Good luck to them in the cup but I'd like to see the back of them in the prem.

The commentator said that Moses didn't know anything about the goal,in other words it hit him and went in. Now that's lucky. The extreme lateness of the goal as well.

Dregs, there's a gap between simple and minded, very much like that one between your ears.

I read this with interest, because this is one of my many irritations with AVB. His favoured slow and deliberate build up just does my head in. I have lost count of the number of times I have seen Lloris or Friedel roll the ball to a player and then watch us go about 10 sideways passes before passing the ball back to the goalkeeper to end up exactly where we started.

We don't dictate the tempo of a game anywhere near often enough in my opinion. I can't comment about todays game because I was out at another game and so haven't seen any of ours and tbh, most of what I know about the game is what I have read on here, but it does seem as if we were very fortunate to get a point.

Guys let's not get into this. For arguments sake we are lucky every game and are a talentless side.

Let's try and get back on topic and talk about the game, I haven't seen it so can't comment much but the 1st goal was a joke, Wigan could have won had they scored first but it was always going to be a tall order to score twice against a team like Spurs with no reply.

TMT please stop this constant flow of personal insults it's not good for the forum. It's quite possible to insult Chelsea without getting into personal attacks on individual posters, I'm sure you can do this.

    Thanks <ok>
