We trust McNally and right now he is trying his utmost not to transform like the Incredible Hulk into McNasty. Hughton is gone come end of May, mark my words, he has lost the support of most of the fans and the players are clearly not fully motivated.

Newcastle losing to Liverpool. But they have a get out of jail card - a game against QPR. It's sad that we are all now clutching at straws that our opponents might lose. But that's all that we have left. The hope that the inadequacy or bad luck of others will keep us safe.

I would even go as far as to say that the only attacking option we have now is Robert Snodgrass and that speaks volumes for me

I get what you are saying about Jackson, but it comes down to tactics. Small, fast players like Jackson only work if you are willing to commit players forward. If you are determined to play 8-1-1 then you have to have tall players who are good headers of the ball. Hence Kamara. Jackson in many ways has a lot more to offer than Kamara, but he will never be given the chance.

This is dinosaur football. We are Stoke without the steel.

I'd be very surprised if he's sacked. I really don't think it will happen. The fact is, despite the turgid nature of our play, we probably did enough to stay up in that ten game run. Two home games from which we will gt at least a point might make us nervous, but the fact is Wigan have to win two and draw one of their remaining four games to get ahead of us.

Hughton will have the benefit of c. ten games next season, I reckon. If the crowd is still restless for any reason, then he'll be out.

I think most will agree but it is pretty irreverent because even if we play 2 up front, whichever two we use seem to be pretty toothless, it's the midfield and defence where the majority of the goals are coming from.
My opinion is Holt needs to take a back seat. RVW + 1 up front from day one next season, either Becchio, Jackson or if he signs another forward. What I do not want to see is a giant wide midfielder trying to play on the right or up front.

A real overhaul is needed and I can see at least 5-6 players being set free in the summer

If Hughton keeps us up it will be a massive achievement - both for the club and for him.

I don't think many fans leave the Britannia high on exhilaration and wonder for the beautiful game. That's not what it's like going to Stoke. We know that and so do every team in the football league.

My view - the club has over achieved by typical standards these last three or four seasons. We are so far ahead of our 7 year plan it's almost taking this piss out of clubs like Reading, like QPR and if they go down as seems most likely - Wigan too.

We all want to win every game. We all want champagne football. But sport isn't like that - and the reason for being in the premiership is that it's one of the finest examples of professional sport you can see.

Is it worth compromising playing gung ho attacking football to scrape our way into three consecutive seasons in the top flight? I reckon so.

Is the squad getting stronger with every transfer window? I reckon so.

Is Norwich in a better place than they have been as a club for nearly two decades? I reckon so.

I'm massively proud of how far we have come in such a short space of time. If we stay up - next season we can get even better I'm sure. This is more than an away defeat at Stoke. This is nudging our way towards another huge success for Norwich City Football Club - OTBC

I am going to be honest. I didn't watch the game, even on a stream, I decided I would head down campus and so some revision with the BBC feed up in the background, and to be fair I have been vindicated.

By all accounts, it has been a terrible match, with much blame being laid on Hughton by most. To be fair in the corresponding fixture last season, it was an equally dreadful game and settled by one Stoke goal.

Now we have home fixtures to look forward to against Villa and Brom before our inevitable tonking against Man City. I keep saying it, but the only home fixtures we have lost are to Man City, Chelsea (both by a goal) and Liverpool so we will be fine this season.

But Hughton needs to sort out quite a bit, because it is simply not acceptable to play an entire ninety minutes without registering a shot O/T as has been the case on a fair few times this season!

I doubt many will disagree with any of those points to be honest but it does not take away the fact that we are bloody awful, more so on our travels, and it is truly horrible to watch every week especially when we were treated to a more attacking style of play with an apparently weaker team last season <ok>

Spot on. Yes, we have better individual personnel (as in Bassong is unquestionably better than Whitbred) but they have two DMs supposedly affording them added protection this season - last year David Fox played in that role.

So despite two banks of four behind the ball for the entire game, we're as leaky as ever, with no real goal threat at the other end to even it out! <yikes>

I think our second season syndrome has hot us all hard in the teeth. We do look effing awful and the creativity lacking - no player seems to make space going forward and it's nearly always back to safety and then a long punt to no one in particular. This to me is a team who is ****ting themselves. Better to pass back than to get owned and thereby vilified by the boss. It does my head in - attackers are supposed to have a go at defenders, not look for a pass back again and again. The route one stuff harks back to Wimbledon of old. I will give CH the summer to get good, but can't take another season of lettuce when I want a ****ing steak.

Hopefully QPR will win at Reading and I'll take a Sunderland win at Villa. That'll give QPR a glimmer of hope. If it takes others to keep us up then so be it. Should get at least two draws at home to get to 40 points though.

Come on guys, I know you're frustrated and I am too, but none of this helps.

We need to pick ourselves up quickly for the Villa game and get behind the team because a divided support WILL relegate us. Let's not call for Hughton's head until the end of the season at the very least and approach the next three games with the attitude that we will survive.

Oh, and IMO Holt bashing now is just as idiotic as it was earlier in the season. He is just as commited as ever and had nothing to do with our defeat today. He will score one more crucial goal before the end of the season, I guarantee it.

Newcastle getting thrashed at home 0-4 so far and theres still a long way to go.

Their stand in keeper looks rubbish, just what you want as as stand in keeper 4 home goals put past you. We have had a major let off so far this weekend with the results. Just need either a draw or villa loss tomorrow and we will have dodged a big bullet.

Have to say, a disgraceful performance today none of the players were fit to wear the shirt today and should have a damn good look in the mirror when they get back. Not a single shot on target.

As for Hughton he needs to wake up and smell the coffee, why the hell did he not change things sooner? Could he not see what was happening? His substitutions are bizzare at best, clueless at worst.

One things for sure I wont bother waiting up for MOTD this week.

This makes Hughton's signing of Bunn a master stroke.

They have to play QPR a game which they will win so don't get too excited. We on the other hand will be lucky to get another point IMO
