Well done to WBA and their fans. Superb both on and off the pitch. Seems a well run club and to put on free coaches today showed a lot of class. Couldn't Saints do that for the Sunderland game? Answer is yes, they could, but they won't.
This should give South Today something to revel in as they've hardly mentioned us whilst we've being doing well. Think I'll give it a miss on Monday. Otherwise, just like Saints to misfire right at the end of the season and make us panic (slightly). Anyway, it's only one game, sob.
Cork vs Bale...! really don't like Jack at full back at all. I'd rather Richardson but he won't be fit enough, so yeah that'll probably happen. Or possibly Yoshida to move across and Fonte to come in. Couldn't have picked a worse game to be short on full-backs than Spurs away to be honest
None of them know what to do with a game where neither promotion nor relegation is an imminent threat. Poch needs to get a copy of the table, draw a little dashed line above Stoke and another below Norwich, turn it into a poster and hang roughly 200 of them around the training ground. That ought to do it.
Got a little lesson today. Don't get too ahead of ourselves. We ought to thank WBA for the great service they've done us.
Felt like I had been mugged, it wasn't an enjoyable experience, being out thought, and outclassed, West Brom deserved it and got all the breaks, hope we have learned a few lessons which can be turned to good use. Cannot expect much from Spurs next week, but no harm in trying. Left back is a serious problem though, Forren perhaps? It's a game that Puncheon could do well in if given the opportunity.
WBA, WHU and QPR (all had terrible away form) are aguably three games we would have earmarked to win since MP's reign began. All these teams have shown us a lot of respect and done their homework as some of the big boys who have been down here lately have probably not. All three teams have set out there stall to defend and look to catch us on the break, all three have been successful. MP has yet to convince me he has a plan B to counteract teams who set up against us with this game plan. In all these games we have seemed devoid of ideas and fluency in our play. Steve Clarke tactically outwitted Pochettino today and aguably Allardyce and Harry did too. Maybe being harsh, I love MP's style of play but not convinced he has the tactical acumen to affect games.
Baggies fans provided best entertainment of the match - positive, joyous and seemed to have all the good chants - is this a fire drill being my favourite
First game in ages. It was ****. But we had to lose sooner or later, and hopefully we've used up all our ****ness for the rest of the season.
