We'd have to win at Forest to catch Palace. And that's something we're historically not very good at.
Watford are a very good team. If we stuff up today and next week then we know that it will be a team that has shown excellent form for long periods that replaces us. The league table doesn't lie. After 46 games we will all be were we deserve to be. Leicester's season is not over just yet.
Have to agree with JF. Performances in 2013 have been unacceptable. Looked quality at times in 2012. So what happened? Has to lie squarely at the feet of the manager. Think it has become pretty obvious that NP has been found out in 3 areas 1. Tactical nous - unable to change things during a game. 2. Motivation - whilst I admire his calmness, I detest his lack of passion when he speaks. 3. Inability to bring staff in to work alongside him for his weak areas. Conjecture suggests a fourth area, but no proof ie being able to handle certain players and make them part of the 'team'. He is not a bad manager, but is simply not a great manager. My LCFC deserve better. I believe that Steve Walsh is probably one of the best scouts we have ever had at our club. Shaky is probably one of the most approachable coaches we have had. We do have a foundation at the club, but we need someone who can galvanise talent into consistency.
We've still got a chance - anythings possible. I'll be cheering Cardiff, leeds, Blackburn and millwall on later, you never know what may happen! If we don't go up this season I am torn as to whether I want NP to stay or not. Granted he has shifted some deadwood and has rebuilt a half decent side but last night showed again that tactically I think he's not quite up to it. Hoofball isn't the answer. When we provided quality into their box from wide areas we had promising situations but it didn't happen enough. On a separate note - the ref was awful. Stonewall penalty missed and several clear cut decisions incorrectly given. Very frustrating.
