So then why bring up Arsenal? If that's a given makes you seem silly and a bit petty by bringing up an unrelated team
Can i just say, i'm absolutely chuffed that we could have an all german final. The spanish have finally been put in their place.
Because it's a free ****ing country. The day you get to censor this forum in favor of your sycophantic drivel and all things fluffy-bunny related is the day it ****ing dies.
To be fair, the cheapest season ticket at Spurs is seven and a half times more (£745, so I'm told... correct me if I'm wrong) than the cheapest at Bayern. In fact, the most expensive at Bayern is still £180 cheaper. To go to a far greater extreme, you can get a season ticket at the current form team in the world for £60 less than a season ticket at Queen's Park in the Irn-Bru Scottish Football League Division Three. Despite this, Bayern can pay players more than most teams in the world, and have players on their books who earn £150k+ per week. The issue is much more complicated than match day revenue.
Wow, this sure was a sarcastic joke about us not winning trophies that went wrong... Oxocube, there was no need to get touchy, or to claim I was being silly and petty. I understand you feel a need to defend the club and the players against every criticism, but have a little perspective. It was meant as a joke. In fact, you've had enough time for that, so welcome to IGNORE! The first on my list, well done. I won't be missing much, all your posts on this forum are the same "he's not ****", "he'll get better", "he deserves another chance", blah blah ****ing blah. It adds nothing to the debate when we know what you're going to say before you say it.
Good for me. I don't really care. Not my fault you decided to have a dig at the club for an un-related issue.
Actually, it is quite a good point that there are other unambitious clubs like Dortmund about, deciding to sell their best players year after year.
Frankly I don't think the issue at hand is our buying but the players leaving. Granted in the Nasri case, Wenger eventually had to relent after he smelled the money and the board thought it wouldn't be worth it hanging on to him; Cesc was leaving (its a miracle we held on to him for that long); and RvP ruined any chances he had on staying with that blog post. But this summer, we won't be losing any top guys and despite what people say Arsenal have always bought during the summer, so I can see the squad improving next season.
I was trying to be witty to be honest. I think if any of the non-rich clubs produce stars like Goetz they will leave and ambition means diddlysquat. I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose Sagna this summer.
Our rivals games over the weekend. Wigan vs Spurs - Wigan are meant to be good at this point in the season, but they have failed to win any of their last three league games. Think Spurs are going to be too strong for them. Chelsea vs Swansea - Routine Chelsea win. Everton vs Fulham - A home win, but Everton are all but out of the race for the top four, anyway.
Chelsea's mid-week game in Basel will hurt them. They should still get by Swansea, but they may get a scare.
At this point, the other games don't matter, Chelsea and Spurs eventually play each other so one of our top 4 rivals will drop points giving us the advantage, it's simple, if we do our job and get maximum points from our last 4 games, then top 4 should be ours.
They do matter, because until we've got those points, the other teams results could have a massive bearing on where we finish.
Well as I said, if we do our job, and get maximum points as Wenger said, then we will make it, it's not down to other teams, but only down to ourselves, Chelsea and Spurs play each other so a rival is going to be dropping points, we get maximum points, and thats it, we go.
