I just wanted to write an article about what's happened at our club over the last few days. Pitman says no - No surprises really seen as he is local to Oxford. He is also not one of the targets i saw anyone mention? So should we be disappointed? Some may say we could of offered more in order to make him move but we all know we are in no financial position to do this and why should we? Bye Bye Bayo- I for one am not surprised he has gone but i am shocked and feel a little upset he has gone to Northampton. We as fans will never know the ins and outs of it or the reasons for his decision. Not fully anyway, so let's forget it and move on. He didn't want to be here so that's that. Why should we pay over the odds to keep someone who wants to leave? All this Scally bashing and Hess bashing that's going on is something i'll come onto in a second. Martin signs - I am pleased Martin has signed, felt he was one of our best players towards the end of last season and adds some needed height to our team. Scally - There's been a lot lately about him and how he isn't doing enough to keep these players. Well i would ask you, what would you like him to do? Pay higher wages and force the club into administration, suffer points deduction and go down? Here your reply will be 'we're signing non league players anywayyy' You cannot say that until you have seen them play! For god's sake have some faith in Hess if they flop then moan. How many of you would like to have Scally's job? Trying to keep a club afloat with no interest from anyone that would provide a cash injection? None of us know the full extent of the club's finances so cannot say "offer him more" "get him in" For those who say 'scally out!' Okay.... who's coming in? Or have you just won the euro millions? No scally = No gillingham. Yes he has done some bad things ie the ground sale and paying his wife 20K and the things he said about Pulis were awful. However, the fact of the matter is without him there is no Gillingham! So ask yourselves this... What is stronger your love for our club Gillingham or your hate for him?
