I think it is admirable that you are all (Liverpool fans) standing up for Suarez. I believe he is an awsome footballer, absolute class, But, he is classless when it comes down to his antics on the pitch. Guys there have been a catalogue of incidents involving him. He has let Liverpool Fc, the management and all liverpool fans in what he has done this time. It is simple he has to grow up and act responsible, in order to repay the fans and the club for their support of him. lets hope for your sake he can do it, I am sorry to say i have my doubts.

But at the moment there is only one person who needs to take a long hard look at himself.

Oh well, gone are the days of Liverpool being a club with integrity huh, not all of you but most seem to be on this scummy little rats side. Disgraceful!

This is what I don't quite get about those on their moral campaigns, yes biting is disgraceful, yes its the kind thing you expect a toddler to do, but why is it deemed worse than any other act of aggression? I could understand if he ripped a chunk out of Ivanovic, but he didn't even break skin (again doesn't make it ok, but doesn't make him Hannibal Lector either). Yes it was quite shocking and unexpected (even after his prior incident) but I've seen far, far, far worse things on a football pitch.

Which asks another question, when did Football become a noble sport? Because for my mind in EVERY game we see acts of cheating, deception, 'gamesmanship', unsporting behaviour, Add to that you have the crowd who engage in the same.

As Neville would say, if you don't like it go watch tiddly winks

The FA have come out with more whining about Suarez.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22311782

The claim they didn't take any previous incidents into account (so anyone arguing that he should have a bigger ban because of that can be quiet). They also seem upset about being called out about Defoe.

ffs, you must be an idiot. No one is on his side, we all know he screwed up. Our question is of the length of ban in comparison to similar situations. We also debate on whether to keep him or not. Not if we're on his side. Not one person has in any seriousness said it was an accident or forgivable, so go back to school and learn how to read. <doh>

What Defoe did was 7 years ago,the ref saw it and booked him,so according to the FA rules they can take no futher action, the ref did'nt book Saurez,so they can take action, and they did

Did the claim that a part of the reason for his lengthy ban was because it was trending on twitter? Wasn't choc ice trending on twitter after Ferdinand tweeted it about Ashley Cole, yet he received **** all.

Also what is up with the forums lately? Lots of multiple posts and replies just not posting.

Oh sweet Jesus, The FA panel managed to muddy what should have been nice clear waters didn't they?

The report should merely have read and largely does; "we increased the ban because we want to make sure this type of event stays rare and make a clear statement that it is viewed as unacceptable and brought the game into disrepute"

Simple, clear, decisive.

What did they do? Said that, but stuck the following nonsense in as well!

Literally stated that the ban was bigger because Suarez was, well Suarez. They say it was because he was a high profile player & it generated a huge amount of interest...on twitter. **** me. Do they not see that this contradicts their statement that they won't take into account his previous history into account? Without this previous there wouldn't have been the high intensity of coverage would there.? And they are basically saying its ok to bite someone in a Sunday league match because no one is interested in it.....what happened to the equal application of the laws throughout the game?

And does that mean the next time someone like Giggs ****s his sister in law & its all over twitter he'll get banned just in case everyone copies the high profile figure? Better hope Cameron doesn't start talking about family values again eh?

They also admitted what we all suspected, by Trying to question the amount of games ban issued before they were he & LFC pissed off the panel. How independent is that? And how stupid we're they?...again.

So in summary:

LFC/Suarez mucked up again by trying to challenge the panel before decision is made.

Because the panel took it personally & said so LFC & Suarez were right not to appeal. The warning not to was written right there in the report. To paraphrase "We'll take it as a lack of sincerity if you question the length of ban."

The FA is as we all suspected more interested about image than application of the rules of the game.

The current set up is not independent at all and puffs up the panel to believe THEY are the story rather than custodians of the game.

So: right result but for all the wrong reasons.

The FA's system is bollox and since they're so worried about the image of our game they need to sort it out quick as its making us a laughing stock.

It's a FA panel mate not a court of law, they can take what they like into account

Lol, I know that but it makes it look like a silly arbitrary process that tries to cloak itself in morality. And they can't use the term independent if they do.

Just say: Biting is: "exceptional violent conduct, won't be tolerated, big ban to warn others that it better not happen again."

Nobody would have been able to argue with that.

That's it, don't try to be clever or make it deeper than it has to be. The more ****e they spout the more they allow it to be picked apart. It didn't need all that waffle as justification.

17. Twenty-one pages is ridiculous. A couple of pages would have been more than enough.

We've all got players or had players who are twats and do prick head things. We all know it but we will almost all defend our own players to opposition fans. This is what supporting your club is all about.

I love it. I love keane and cantons coz I'm a United fan and I don't give a **** what other fans think. Neither do Liverpool fans and fair play for it , apart from the extreme ****ers <laugh>…

Move on mother ****ers . <ok>
