Unbelievable poor decision or goof by GFH. Clearly eight years of licking bates arse has paid off. Can't believe there wasn't a better candidate out there. Totally sick of reading his crap and thought he might have disappeared with bates. So we still have him and bates as president lurking around. Why are GFH so reluctant to clear out all the old rubbish

 

He'll have been "persuaded" to resign from the board, guaranteed. Don't read too much into this.

 

Take it as it is intended, the aim was to remove him from the board and that has been completed.

 

Fair enough but hard could it have been to remove him anyway as he had no financial stake?

 

There would have been a process that would have to have taken place and that may have taken quite a few months. He could also use the press and create problems for the new owners, in this way everyone is happy and Lorimer has got what he wanted, continued professional involvement with the club he loves.

Btw, agree that there's not too much to read into this. He's been demoted to a less public position, saving everyone's face. Probably get sacked for being blotto on duty in a few months anyway.
