I had a dream last night that we lost 2-1 against Barnsley with that young lad we signed from non-league earlier in the season scoring for us.
Ideally we should be getting promoted with our own results but at the end of a season numerous teams both at the top and bottoms of each division are happy to take "gifts of points dropped" from other sides - so why take the holier than thou attitude and want to wait for tomorrow. Let's hope Leicester win then we can have a weekend to remember and Bruce can start his planning for next season

That's it? Just when I was starting to enjoy debating with one of the 'few of us proper fans'. <laugh>

I want Hull City to get promoted
So I am surprised but it seems like I am in the minority because I want us to take any chance of being promoted
Anybody who would rather us not get promoted tonight in favour of taking the risk of not getting promoted at all must be stupid.

I don't give a toss how we do it as long as we do.. in fact if Nige does it for us then fair dos.. cos he won't have really done it, we'd have done it over the previous 44 games..

    are you serious lad?

    repeat the fun?

You do realise that if we don't go up there will be a big backlash next season?

bye bye chester, gedo, elmo, boyd, stockdale, possibly S.bruce, brady, meyler, hobbs (if we get offers they will jump ship)

The Allams will certainly not be able to sustain this level of financing without getting anything back.

If we don't go up this season I don't think we will for a while.

It's pathetic to see some want NP to fail over us succeeding. How ****ing petty.

Why don't you see it this way... if lester win, it helps NP but it promotes us and that would surely be a wonderfully ironic victory against the boring ****.

But it could be a day of nerves, depression and regret if we go into cardiff needing a win. The team will be nervous as **** (the watford result killed us, I knew it)

You'd honestly gamble a chance to go up for the thrills and kicks of a potential win at oakwell? and risk it all at the same time?

Of course winning the PL was more exciting for man city than united this year but do you think they will care one bit that they didn't get a last second winner on the last day to seal it? hahahahaha Get real.

It's very selfish of you. Why don't you think of the players and the owners and the effort they have put in to get us where we are. It's all MUCH bigger than your masochist thrills.

    All highlighted are bollocks.

Boyd has already agreed a deal to join at the end of the season.

Bruce was brought in with a 3 year plan of promotion. The position we find ourselves in is well ahead of the planned schedule. He won't resign if we don't go up.

Brady has only ben here 6 months, got loads of contract, cost a bomb and anyone wanting to buy him will cost at least 3 times the amount at present, which would be a good thing.

    Meyler, see Brady.

Hobbs, for all his ability, he's unproven at a higher level and no one will pay the fee we will demand (what he's worth to us).

The sale of Chester will happily finance another hard push at promotion all day long.

I also think if we fail to get promoted, we will go for, and get, both Stockdale and Gedo on permanent deals who will both be more than happy to come here.

Elmo will be a big maybe, but it's not out the question.

It's funny how we would all have been happy with and didn't expect we could reach any higher than the play offs this season. Now it's the end of the world if we don't get automatic promotion. Wake the **** up!

You're willing to gamble everything on a hunch that we can just repeat it next year. You don't know what the **** might happen... So maybe you need to wake the **** up.

You just said it yourself! this is a highly unexpected position, a position that every other clubs and fans in the nation can only dream of!!! and you think it wouldn't be a big deal not to go up? Is this some weird **** against the PL?

Fact is we have no idea what could happen next year... and it's really stupid not to consider that this may be our only chance for a while.

Every clubs dream is to be up in the PL yet you're trying to make it seem like it's no big deal. Even if you don't like the PL, it's about the players. That's what drives them. Failing to reach it from our position could have devastating aspect on the psychology at our club.

How is that stirring? Circa is the one stirring by predicting the end of Hull City as we know it if we miss out on the auto's...

We are indeed ahead of schedule, and I hope we get promoted this season.
For some reason you seem unwilling to accept the promotion unless it is done your way.
Who is to say we will get another chance.

I'm just glad the players and manager don't share the same frame of mind. They should be nervous/motivated as they are on the brink.

Can you imagine if teams only gave a **** if they get promoted while the game is on sky, on the last vs the champions? " if it's not that way then it's not worth bothering"

I've never said that, but that's what most people seem to think. Time a lot of **** heads learned to read.

It's also highly amusing, as it's got **** all to do with me how it happens, if Watford win it's not my fault, if we lose at Barnsley it's not my fault. I'd just prefer to do it tomorrow when I'm at Oakwell. Preferring to have a more exciting day tomorrow is hardly 'risking it'. And it's not like NP will be under strict orders to lose at all costs by SB tonight is it.

Whatever happens is well out of our little hands, I just can't understand the aggression from some ****s who wouldn't like us to do it while we're actually playing.

If Leicester win tonight I'll still be overjoyed that we've done it. It's as if a few think I'll be slitting my wrists and cancelling my season pass.

This isn't necessarily aimed at you John despite the quote, just to clarify.

I also suspect that those who are treating missing out on 2nd place like the end of the world, haven't been following Hull City very long. It's nice to actually have a team you feel can actually achieve something, and be challenging at the top side of a league table, something I haven't really got to do much in the 20 years I've followed the club.

All these preferences are bound to affect the outcome-NOT.
Pleased to see Scarb is still operating in a parallel universe with his betting strategies.
The tea in my flask will be exactly the same whether What For? win or lose.Sandwiches likewise.
Anyone invading the pitch should think long and hard about the possibility of missing next seasons games
I am morphing into NormanSensible. This will change at the final whistle tonight when I will become Micky the Mentalist.
    East Hull is brilliant.
