They used to be guaranteed 3 home games every season against Old Firm sides, with a 4th if they finished in the top 6. Now they're guaranteed 1 home game one season and 2 the next. In the season they get 1 they can increase it to 2 by finishing in the top 6. It's good for the D3 sides though, the average attendance at that level last season was 400 and something. This season it's 5,400 and something.
Could careless actually. The SPL is a joke league full stop. I bet North Ferriby Utd would stand a chance of survival if they played in it.

You are a very forgiving man, Lincoln. How many times do supporters say that no one is bigger than the club, yet it is the club that actively recognises and has praised the Green Brigade - their empty words cannot disguise what they are really about. As for 'Sectarianism from whichever side is simply fecking stupid and a sign of low intelligence', do you honestly believethat? Would you seriously say that the likes of Adams, McGuinness, Paisley (and on we could go through history and across continents) aqre people of low intelligence. Sectarianism springs from something far different from someones intelligence; I would agree that it is stupid, but it is far worse than that and intelligent people too often give it credibility to those whose intelligence and values are not so robust. Why is it that we can expect our clubs to eject and ban racist chanters, but in Scotland . . .
According to the figures I have seen they are down this season. 2011/12 average 13,861 2012/13average so far 9,985
The overall average is obviously going to be down when you replace a team that averaged over 46,000 with one that averages 6,000. Every 10th game has a drop of 40,000, which brings the average down by 4,000 even if every other game had the same attendance. The smaller teams in the SPL though are quite split at the moment: Hearts 12811 (13,381) Motherwell 5097 (5,946) Kilmarnock 4745 (5,537) St Mirren 4395 (4,493) St Johnstone 3714 (4,170) Hibernian 10618 (9,909) Aberdeen 9753 (9,297) Dundee Utd 7544 (7482) Inverness CT 4067 (4,023) There's 5 down and 4 up on last season (Celtic and the promoted teams making up the 12), although Celtic obviously still have to visit a few of those grounds so this would be better compared at the end of the season. Celtic are down a few thousand on their average as well which knocks a few hundred off the overall average.

I don't know George Boyd so I don't know what motivates him, but if he wants money and Celtic offer more then he will not sign for us, no matter what Peterboro and City have agreed.
There must have been a bit of a change of interest from the fans, now Rangers for the moment is out of the frame , the other sides must have felt there was more to play for with a chance of European football. But I guess this only fuels the argument that if the old firm left the SPL then the Scottish league would die a death.
There's no agreement between P'boro and City about what he does in the summer as he's out of contract then. The belief is: He has already signed the contract with us to become our permanent player when the transfer window reopens. He is only on loan with us now because we didn't agree a permanent transfer in January so he couldn't sign permanently, but being close enough to the Playoff Final meant that we could sign him on emergency loan in advance of completing the permanent deal. The legitimacy of the last part of that can be shown by looking at when we signed Paynter and Sam Collins. They joined us in November and the permanent deals were already signed for January.
