How about you what I said in context next time rather than taking it out of context. And in your list how many of those are actually the highest rated players?
yeah like Raymond Domenech you mean , that fantastic French National coach . He was a genius wasnt he ? Your logic that if you play fro your national team you are worthy of being purchased and played, whatever your form , for Arsenal is...... errr.....lets call it misguided .." prick on the internet " is being a bit harsh on yourself .
No you ****ing idiot. It wasn't even my main argument but you decided to make it that, it was meant to refute your point that he's ****, won't make it, etc... He has 18 goals in his debut season alone. Not Rvp-esque but he'll only improve, but keep on slagging him.
It wasnt your main arguement ? But you chose to make it one anyway. He did well in Ligue 1 so he MUST be good enough for us. Wasnt that your arguement ? jeez , dont your legs get tired with all that back pedalling ? chill out dude. Youll have a seizure. Ok ..hes a great player and will be terrific........there .....there .
A lot of very dubious argumentitive tactics being used to rubbish Giroud. I'm not sure why it is necessary to be honest. As a first season goes, nothing special, but hardly a disaster. No doubt he will have to improve considerably next year if he wants to start. I don't think that there is much doubt that we will get at least 1 more striker in the summer and they will compete for the role. If he isn't good enough, he will not play.
Pretty much. We could also revert to a 4-4-2 to accommodate both strikers, another striker + Giroud gives us any options up front
Anyway, buying Jovetic would be ideal. He is a different type of player to Giroud, rather than a direct replacement. Giroud will still get an opportunity to show he can improve next season because he will be required for plenty of games. At previous clubs he has always had a better second season. Personally, I doubt Giroud can improve substantially. I don't believe he is the level required for a top 4 club. He deserves some sort of chance next season though because you can never be sure. Unless we bring in someone significantly better, like Cavani or Lewandowski (or possibly Gomez), replacing Giroud with a similar player would be wasteful.
The tactics used to rubbish him are no more dubious than those being used to defend him. At the end of the day, I don't care what other people's opinion of him are (be that the French national coach etc). I watch Arsenal and can form my own opinion. And my opinion is that he's demonstrated this year that he's not good enough to be a striker in a trophy-winning team. Some people share this opinion, some don't. However, we are miles away from winning any trophies in the current team... and Giroud is our current team first choice striker. There's a link there (although I'm aware you could try and use that link to rubbish any of our players). Anyway Giroud might come back next and do a Lewandowski-like transformation though so we'll wait and see. But I doubt it because there hasn't been any flashes of anything to suggest he might. He could probably transform into a different type of player in a partnership, but as a lone striker he's limited.
I like Giroud but you have to have some serious rosé -tinted spectacles to think he's going to become a World Class forward. He just does'nt have the 'sharpness or the technical ability to reach that level. We need to buy a TOP class forward.

I never really know what people mean by technical ability, but I have heard a lot of pundits and coaches comment on how good his technical ability is, talking about his movement and positioning. I don't know exactly what you mean by it, but again it just shows how there are so many that don't like this guy. It will be interesting to see how we do without him for a few games, although if our performancs go down, I doubt that any will credit Giroud as the reason. I sincerely hope you are right, because if he is a good player we are going to miss him these next 3 games.
the performance wont go down ......unless the fool decides to play Gervinho as a direct replacement . Then ..they will
The team will likely miss his aerial presence over the next three games. We'll find out one way or another.
